  1. http://www.gametracker.com/server_info/198.50.153.222:28970/ It is tracking but I was unable to populate the initial stats from the old server.
  2. Yep it will be but that seems to be their plan, rather than having new major versions they will release updates to the codebase. I guess kind of what linux does. We will see where they go with it but it does give them terrific power to change everyone's operating systems and begin to become skynet - especially as the updates for Windows 10 seem very aggressive and hard for a user to manipulate/control.
  3. It is a flash signature so can be broken in some browsers, broken in others or simply not loaded. It is fun to play with though
  4. Oh of course they have motives for this, they are currently supporting multiple major OS versions and they need to try and consolidate more users to a single version. Windows 10 has an architecture where 'versions' are less used and platform independent applications are to be created. They are working hard on the store and cross platform integration into existing platforms such as the Xbox and mobile platforms as well as integration plans into entertainment hardware such as smart TVs. All of this to get your money through applications that you will buy in the 'Store', a new advertising framework that will allow application developers and Microsoft themselves to serve adverts straight to your computer and a snooping system that will allow them to know your deepest desires in anal play for those adverts. Those are the strings I have seen so far with the upgrade. They are again forcing Bing on the users and trying to create more of 'cloud' system by having OneDrive installed as default. Also not sure why you would want to send a web request 'every time' you search for an application or file on your computer but that's the case. I downloaded and installed earlier today and have to say performance wise is so much better than Windows 7 and on par /slightly better than Windows 8. I do love the new start menu and I think they have got the balance right on functionality/efficiency with a modern look. Not sure why the maps application comes as default.. I will always use Google Maps out of habit but their map software does look quite cool. I have downloaded the frameworks from MSDN to take a look in detail. Apart from what I have said above that is the case.
  5. Where are you getting that info from? Everything I have read from Microsoft has stated that if you have an existing qualifying version of Windows then you can have a free upgrade, however you have to perform that upgrade within a year of the Windows 10 release. To cite my information: http://www.microsoft.com/en-US/windows/windows-10-faq
  6. Aye that's the main use for it, GameTracker stats aren't used for much else
  7. Happy B'Day Edd
  8. Yeah as the others have said ATX is the form factor (size) of the motherboard, not the brand. Generally ATX are better as they have better components, more expansion and allow for better cooling systems. I would try and save the money from the OS if possible to spend on the hardware, its cheaper to update the OS at a later date than the hardware. For the screen.. no 'real' reason just that extra .5" can make all the difference for your viewing pleasure..
  9. I think I may update my current PC to the technical preview.. worth a look Other than that I plan on upgrading all the computers I have to Windows 10. From what I have seen they have done a very good job.
  10. You currently already have an OS? You can save money by either upgrading or using the current. Get a 22" screen not 21.5".. they just look better. You have selected a micro-ATX mobo and a ATX case.. generally ATX is better as allows for more expansion, extra slots etc..
  11. Can you get the event log entry for the crash?
  12. This may help: http://www.xtremeidiots.com/page/public/bible/_/call-of-duty-4/iw3mpexe-crashes-when-loading-mic-issue-r25
  13. I have gone through all of the COD servers claiming and updating their profiles, there were a few not tracking. Where possible I have migrated the stats from the previous server over.
  14. I will get to this momentarily! Apologies for not seeing this sooner.
  15. It looks like the host has resolved all issues and there should be no connectivity problems other than the ones we had before. Linux does have its drawbacks with map compatibility which is a shame, especially as there seems to be no real reason for it :/
  16. @@BeerFan That is not the GUID you have been connecting with, perhaps that is your local GUID. In any case we cannot help you with this as you will need to appeal to PBBANS, I will now be locking this thread.
  17. What servers are you having this issue on?
  18. @@BeerFan You have an active PBBAN and will be unable to play on our servers unless you successfully appeal it at pbbans.com @@fireurza Check this guide it may help you: http://www.xtremeidiots.com/page/public/bible/_/xi-website/punkbuster-installation-for-call-of-duty-r24
  19. You would need to use regedit, you can access the program by searching for it on your start menu search bar.
  20. Could try manually adding it in here: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Activision\Call of Duty 4 : codkey
  21. Open up Teamspeak, select Settings and then Options from the top bar. On the left select Capture - then ensure that voice activation is enabled like the screenshot below. When you perform these steps does it look like this for you?
  22. Nah the legacy installer is crapped out. I have reworked the tutorial into a simple manual process that can be found here: http://www.xtremeidiots.com/page/public/bible/_/xi-website/punkbuster-installation-for-call-of-duty-r24 I will update the first post with the new details.
  23. Version 1.0

    703 downloads

This executable will install the Punkbuster services for all games and is required to play on Punkbuster enabled servers.
