  1. Thanks to Tball I have been able to work on the Teamspeak server today and make some headway into sorting our problems out. If you see anything wrong let me know. EDIT: Forgot to mention that I have added an XI member group that adds the XI logo besides someones name. Head admins can add people to this group. Do not add non-members to it.
  2. That is one big ass solar plant! and a very big picture lol Really quite impressive...
  3. Yeah I took the opportunity during the updates yesterday to overhaul the navigation between this site and the maps & mods site as well as hopefully fixing all of the email issues we have been having.
  4. It seems the record is broken whenever I take the site down for a period of time
  5. tapatalk is working fine for me. Make sure you are using the latest version however.
  6. Read the announcements..
  7. A process cannot run in the background unless it has been started. I think you will find that it is the Google Updater for chrome that is running in the background. Disabling the updater can be done to avoid this. Google Chrome does not collect data to sell as they use it for targeted advertising. Additionally they only can collect data that you opt-in to or that you supply them with. Google Chrome consists of two .exe files that are run, a data store in your Appdata and temp update files in your program files folder and program data folder. You are asking a browser to circumvent a web developers decision. We are the people decide what links open in new windows, new tabs or are directional. If they attempted to override what a web developer wanted it would be stupid.. which is what IE does with certain aspects of the website.
  8. Facebook's main income is advertising not data. They collect data yes; but more so they can direct adverts at you than for selling it. Additionally Facebook does not 'sell' information unless you have allowed it, they do however use it for the targeted adverts - the owners of the adverts never see the data. Governments can request data and if it is a lawful request then it is supplied - they cannot buy it. FB uses your personal data to generate personalized ads. That's the idea. For me it doesn't work. I liked Call Of Duty, Metro, and some other stuff on Facebook. All i get is ads from Vodafone and other mobile providers and many other crap I am NOT interested in. Instead of ads for FPS or at least game ads. Nothing. The algorhythm doesn't work. Google is not able to place personalized ads and FB fails too. It's a nice idea - if it works About the "lawful" reasons.. erm. The past weeks have shown that they don't need "lawful" reasons to sniff the internet traffic. NSA, GCHQ & co SAY they have. I still don't trust them... Targeted advertising will always have inaccuracies for the majority of people it works though which is why it generates billions in income for companies. You are confusing me saying that Facebook doesn't sell data to governments with something on an entirely different level and different subject. The original comment was that Facebook sold data to governments; I was responding to that - not addressing data security and governments.

  10. You have an active PBBan against your account and as such you will be unable to play on our servers whilst that is still active. (http://www.pbbans.com/mbi-viewban-ed043f58-vb317565.html) Appeal Denied.

  12. Putting it in caps won't change a thing. This issue is only affecting a select few and the ones it is troubling are people who delete their cache or cookies when they close their browser or log out each time. If you are not doing any of these then your browser is. I should point out that the issue is not browser specific but is setting specific (so it will effect any browser if the same setting are applied) Until IPS release an update you will either have to deal with it by clearing all your *.XtremeIdiots.com when you have the problem or finding the problem setting.
  13. There is such a thing as too much information.
  14. You don't need premium to play the game

  20. I think I know a possible fix but it will have to wait until I have performed a reinstall but that won't be for a while.
  21. Depends if its OEM or not Thanks for your help guys I now have a better idea what to purchase the old system is dead and its time for a new one. I will look at all that's been suggested and order it this week
  22. Don't worry about the OS guys.. its been cracked for the past 10 years and I intend on putting another cracked version on there
  23. I don't really do hardware and have been tasked with creating a new build for my dad. @@WiZiD helped me out a while back for this and it kept the PC running for an extra year however it has got to the point now that there is a virus killing it and we cannot remove it because it is so slow that the scan is taking days and the AV keeps crashing, as well as any other program that is opened. So what I am looking for is a build from you guys, preferably links from a UK website and preferably the same one. My budget is £150 - 200 to purchase the computer, the screen and peripherals will be purchased separately. The computer is used by my dad in his workshop to create engineering drawings with CAD, perform accounting, emails, browsing. Nothing extreme hence the low budget. I intend on reinstalling Windows XP on there for compatibility. Both for the old programs that's what my dad uses and that he probably wouldn't understand any other OS. Appreciate any help you guys can come up with. Thanks,
  24. Congratulations @@SpitFire and welcome to the admin team ??
  25. but because you think its a map that should go does it mean others do? or that it should truly go?....see its a catch 22 here no?....just saying...if we put maps in rotation to only what all ppl like andwant to play it would only be bout 20 maps period This will not be the be all and end all of choosing if a map is suitable or not. Yes I agree as with all votes there will be some misleading data, although the majority should be accurate. Simply put I do not think the majority of people that play on the servers would abuse the system. We are using this to assist in the choosing of maps, beers cannot be on all the time and cannot see feedback from players when it is said in-game, nor do all of the players visit the forums and give feedback. This system will allow players to give us feedback of what maps are liked or disliked.
