To go over what has been said over 100 times again. We do not agree with the single violation #50710 being 100% valid so will not be enforcing it on our servers, however because of how the systems work we cannot stop Punkbuster kicking for it. We are preventing our bans from being streamed to the MBi but are continuing to stream from the MBi minus #50710. If you are kicked then wait the 2 minutes without reconnecting and you will be able to play. If we were to disable Punkbuster entirely we would be letting any hacker join, so with our current approach although annoying to those who are affected is the best for the servers. .

I have been looking through your appeal and player data and have a query over some log entries I found. I would like to know why you feel you can tell people how to play on our servers? .

Just checked and the original ban was never removed although Rugger said it was going to be so, I will check with him before proceeding with the unban. .

You see when you reply to this thread, the box and toolbar is the same as for the signatures right. The very top left control on the toolbar is a little switch and is the BBCode Mode, this is the button i'm talking about. .

You need to be in your profile first, then go to settings, then on the right side of the page you will see signature, click on that, there should be an option to upload from there, you might have to delete your old sig first, not sure about that though, i just looked in my settings and i think things have changed since i put my last sig in, although it was only about 3 weeks ago. It has changed a little with an update of IP.Board. If you go to change your signature and the toolbar is grey-ed out you need to uncheck the box and possibly toggle the mode after that with the control on the top left of the toolbar. .

Not sure why the bump? The last post from -Stealthydeath- was saying it was fixed. I do see it now resolves as a 404 but that's unrelated. .

All servers that were running PB will continue running PB and hackers will still be caught. We will still be streaming from the PBBans MBI minus AIMBOT 50710. We will not be streaming to PBBans which although is not good for the overall COD4 community, it is better for us. However you may view it EB have implemented a valid detection, however that detection pattern looks as if it can also be created by legitimate programs. Until someone in the community can reproduce, on demand, the detection using non cheat programs the detection will stay activated. To summarize all our servers have the same level of protection as they used to. Have we thrashed this topic to death yet? .

so what 3rd party. everbalance need to own up and take some responsibility. They are taking responsibility.. right here 'We do not find this violation to be triggered in error, and it will not be removed.' this is them taking responsibility and saying that in there eyes and with their knowledge the bans are legit. It should be noted that multiple appeals to both PBBans and EB for this 50710 ban have been accompanied with confessions and pleas over using hacks. Whatever anyone says the detection has some validity. .

Haha yeah that's an idea I was browsing their site last night and it crashed while I was doing it.. so well on the way to bringing them down entirely .

It get's even more confusing than that when you start to look at the different streaming organisations and what they are sharing with each other etc. etc. and how we implement the bans on our servers that don't run PB at all

There has been competition in cheat detection, it wasn't long ago that http://punksbusted.com/ was a thriving community. If it is obvious you cannot trust PB from one mistake (if it is that - we are yet to hear) then it is obvious you definitely cannot trust XI admins as we make many more mistakes than they do. No one has said they do not care and they have in the past admitted their mistakes. I have been involved in creating an anticheat program before and am not interested in getting back into it i'm afraid, they are rather stressful .

I was not aware that the PBBans topic on this matter was unavailable to all but here is the latest update from a PBBans staff member. I hope this puts some of your minds at ease that they are not ignoring this situation. Please be patient whilst we await more information. .

Say whaaaat! You actually think that or are you making a joke? If you actually believe this then you must also believe that when XI admins make mistakes and incorrectly name someone as a hacker then we should be sued? Just wondering.. cause.. like.. its a game and all. .

The only server we changed was the website server. That has nothing to do with the game servers... .
