Here is a cover of a classic Elvis tune !!!! I collaborated with a friend (great singer) and finally got it done. I did all the instruments and Joey (friend) did all the vocals and harmonies. This was alot of fun. Different style for me. I usually stick to metal and classic rock. Click on the Soundcloud link and hit the play button. Enjoy !!!! http://soundcloud.com/taxman-1-1/jailhouse-rock-mp3

Remixed it. I added some more acoustic panels and a sub to my monitor system and its been a learning experiemnt. Need to run "Room EQ Wizard" again and adjust my mixing rooms acoustics.

Thanks Merlin. I really like the "Point of Entry and British Steel" records. Need to do a few more covers off of those. Need to find someone else to sing though. Screaming for Vengence is another great Priest album. Sad Wings of Destiny too.

billyblade nice job mike... i play...or used to before i retired from gigging. Here the only video im in, not my tunes but gret band and good fun.. me on da bass...hit me up sometime, i got some other stuff on myspace, but i would have to explain whats the deal so you know whats happenin. Thats some nice stuff. Singer has a great voice. PM me on "what the deal is". Im up for working on something. Do you have a home studio set up ? What DAW you using if so ? Also I just picked up an old Heartfield DR 4 string bass. In primo condition. Heartfield was a Fender division and the manufactured some wicked/expensive bass guitars. Plays like a Jazz, has carbon fiber/wood hybrid necks and some nice active electronics. Actually has an XLR and 1/4 connections. I bought it to resell it (I buy and sell vintage gear), but I fell in love with it. Just PM me and we can figure something out.

Hoth Nice job Mike. I've seen them many times. Thanks Hoth. They are going to be in Cincinnati soon (somewhat close to me), but its during the week and I cant get anyone to go with me.

RD Nice job Mike.......funny you mentioned doing some cover collaborations. I have a girl/friend /pal named Evi Wylde that is an excellent guitar player that I have a video of I have below. Also check out Onearmedbandit.....on the bass. i really like the idea of a collaboration. I played drums for about 12 yrs but wished I still had the equipment. http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=876_1301709621 Thats a great cover. Nice production on it. The bass player does extremely well for how he has to play.

Thanks PrimalFear. Would be nice to find some other members who play and record to colaborate on something. If anyone is game, let me know. Especially if there is someone who can sing. I sing just to complete the songs. Guess I should have wrapped a rubber band around my balls and sang. Then I could get as high as Halford does.

I have not done any personal recording in a while and decided to do cover of "Breaking The Law". Did it over the past few days, that is, when I wasnt playing COD2. Its not a exact cover. And I should have known better than to try and sing it. I did my own take on it and didnt use any siren effects like on the original. Im playing all instruments as usual. You should right click and choose open in new tab. That way you dont move away from the forum. Enjoy !!! http://www.soundclick.com/player/single_player.cfm?songid=11084176&q=hi

If your record is spotless, you may find the fine in court is lower than paying and not going to court. But then you loose a day pay. But if you have a vacation day to take, it may be worth it. In my 33 years of driving, I have had one ticket. I got a ticket for 75mph in a 55mph and not wearing a seatbelt. I went to court and told the Judge, yes I was speeding and this was my first ticket ever. She dismissed the speeding and just got me for the seatbelt, which was $80 total. I could have attended a seatbelt class and not paid anything, but I didnt want to. So I paid the $80. Would have been 3 times that with the speeding. Good luck and keep us posted.

Congrats !!! I quit 4 years ago (Cold Turkey) and I can say, I dont even get the urge to smoke. After the 1st month of quitting the "urge" was gone for me. But I was a less than a pack a day smoker. I quit because I had just had my 6th neck surgery and wasnt allowed to drive and my wife would not get me any !!!!! She was my "Cold Turkey" !!!!!!! Still Is !!!!!!! -
Up for grabs is a 2008 Gibson Explorer Robot. Everything functions properly and the guitar is in excellent shape. If not for being played a few times and one blemish, I would rate it like new. It was purchased by the original owner, played a few times and put away. They never learned to play. I purchased it as an investment and its now being offered for sale. Includes the build sheet, manual and warranty card. The case this thing comes in is huge and very plush. For those not familiar with the "Gibson Robot Series", they tune themselves. These had a "MSRP" of $3749 !!! It's yours for the price of $1499 + $50 shipping, lower 48 states only !!!! The pictures viewable by the individual links are quite large (you can zoom in) and show a few white dust specs but they are the actual guitar and show the only spot that keeps this from being "like new". The blemish is on the lower edge by the "Robot Tuner" knob. Looks like a factory "clear coat" blemish. Very hard to spot when actually looking at the guitar. This guitar has been checked and is still in the specs set at the factory and shown on the "build sheet". You don't see many of these Explorers come up for sale !!!! Here is more info from Gibson's site. Gibson’s futuristic Explorer was a guitar truly ahead of its time in 1958—a result of the forward-thinking genius of legendary Gibson President Ted McCarty. In the same manner, Gibson’s pioneering launch of the world’s first self-tuning guitar last year proved to be the single most significant and talked-about advancement in electric guitar technology in decades. Now, the best of two worlds collide with the introduction of the new Robot X-plorer from Gibson USA, which takes the classic styling and superior tone of a Gibson masterpiece and adds the technological brilliance of the Gibson Robot Tuning System to bring you one of the most practical and striking guitars ever in Gibson’s storied line of stringed instruments. Gibson’s revolutionary Robot X-plorer is unique in many ways, but the “robot-like” Robot Tuners™ that grace the headstock are extraordinary. Pull out the Robot X-plorer’s Multi-Control Knob (MCK) and watch the Robot Tuners™ spring into action. It takes only a few seconds for the Robot Tuners™ to tune the Robot X-plorer to any desired tuning. Each tuning peg is equipped with a tiny, but powerful, servo motor that kicks into action once the system is activated. The Robot Tuners™ rely on the strings themselves to send the signals, eliminating any potential for interference. Made of lightweight metal with a satin nickel finish, the Robot Tuners™ weigh only 46.5 grams each. A standard Gotoh tuner weighs in at 49 grams. That means a set of Robot Tuners™ weigh a full 15 grams less than a set of Gotoh tuners, which is another indicator of the Robot X-plorer’s true innovation. http://www.got-guitar.com/images/lfCA1UP4KT.jpg http://www.got-guitar.com/images/lf.jpg

This is rare piece. The H-1000 plays extremely well. With its extremely low string action and EMG active pickups, its a shredders dream. But its just as good playing country or any other style. The clean tones are fantastic. This is the more desireable H1000. Not many that year came in the "Black Archtop" with the EMG's and the Locking Sperzel Tuners. And it has a story. Rumor is ESP changed the headstock design of the models rather quickly due to the fact they resemble a "Smurf Hat". Some say it resembled something else, which we wont go there today. Because of the unique headstock design, these are some of the most sought after H-1000's. The guitar is in very good condition. It has been played lightly and has great mother of pearl inlay. The black finish does show some light swirl marks when viewed closely. But overall its a nice piece. MSR Price for this model new was $1149 Blue Book has its resell at $600-620. Im listing it at $475 + $50 shipping lower 48 states only. This guitar has been checked and set up to better than factory specs. This guitar plays extremely well. PM Me if interested.
