Microcenter will price match Newegg and other online retailers. I use to order online through Newegg, D&H, Tech Data, Ingram Micro, Dirt Cheap Hard Drives and a few others when I use to build systems on the side (back in the 90's and early 20's). But when Microcenter opened up I have been buying through them. They have brick and mortar stores here in Ohio and elsewhere. But they do ship too. Any builds I do for myself or others I buy stuff there. California has a Microcenter store in Tustin. But they do ship too.

Im running an AMD Ryzen 7 3700x and a Nvidia RTX2070 which I built it back in 2019, so its getting long in the tooth. Will upgrade next year. Usually I do every three or four years.

I switched from Apple based computing to Dos base back with Dos 2.0. 1983, I believe. I remember when Dosshell came out with Dos 4.0. Boy that made life easier. Wasn't until Windows 3.0 that I jumped from the Dos wagon. Well, Dos was still there, just in the background. But hell yeah !! I remember those days. IRQ's, DMA's, Jumpers, Soldering chips in !! I remember ordering a color chip for a Franklin Ace 1000 (Apple Clone) and soldering that thing in. Think I was 1982 ?

I went back to the old COD2 exe file and fired it up. Waited 10 minutes and the map error finally came up with the map name. I deleted the map and now the "main" .exe works. I had two COD2 directories on different hard drives. One directory had the .exe that was causing issues, the other was a backup directory from a previous PC build. But any way, its all good now.

I run into an occasional "map error" too. I just remove the file and the program downloads the correct version. Just as you describe. My issue was it never gave me any file errors Just a black screen. Anyway I back to normal. Well scratch that. Im never normal.

Got it working. I replaced the main cod2mp.exe file with another copy and now I can get into the Blackbart server. Strange it didnt effect joining any other server. But.... Stanger shit happens.

Not sure whats going on, but here is my issue. I went to join the Black Bart server and upon clicking on it from the server browser, my computer screen goes black and just hangs. Now any other sever on the web I can join, no issue. Just the BlackBart server. Strange. I have tried reinstalling latest COD2 patch, deleted the XIDM config file and tried a different config files. Newer drivers too. I get no error messages what so ever. Just a black screen. I close the black screen using "task manager" and it even says COD2 is running. Usually any issue will show up as "not responding" . Like I mentioned earlier, its just the BlackBart server. All others work great. Weird.

Nah. I shy away from 8 tracks. There are those who collect 8-Tracks though. 8-Tracks were developed by Mr. Bill Lear. He is best known for Lear Jets I have a Akai combo tape deck that has 8 Track, Cassette and Reel to Reel players on it. On the back it says "Under License from Lear Corporation" . Interesting stuff. Anyway get those tapes out of the shed !!! Shed/Garage storage of tape or vinyl is a big no no !!! Now if those 8 Tracks are "Classic Rock" tapes, then you definitely need to get them out of the heat. And make sure if the tapes have a "foam" pressure pads, that they are not deteriorated. You can find replacement pads and they are easy to change. But classic rock 8 tracks can fetch a little money on eBay or Reverb.com Depends on artist. But dig them out and see what you have !!!

We do not have many "Woke" in Ohio. Only in the big cities for the most part. Hell California and New York have the distinction of being the "Woke" states. Wokeness is like Disco. I agree !!! Here in Ohio you have to take an online test to be able to operate one. And in Ohio 12-15 year old's have to have an adult ride with them. We own a cabin on a lake here in Ohio and I see so, so many 12-15 year old's turned loose on them, WITHOUT an adult passenger. And they never follow any of the rules. Especially the NO WAKE ZONE areas. Run the fuckers over !!!

Oh I guarantee it would beat me off the line. Hell my minivan will out 60' me A friend has a Tesla (not the X) and we did a drag race. Blew me away off the line, but I reeled him in after the 1/8th mile mark. I'd give the "X" model a good race seeing how my car and the X run the 1/4 in under 10 seconds and 0 to 60 in under 3 seconds. And I have to shift gears !!!! Kevlar clutch baby !!!

Not to rain on the parade. But Mini Coopers are expensive to work on and very unreliable. Our neighbor had two and returned both under the lemon law. Google Mini reliability. Doesn't rate very well. But they do say any produced from 2019 on are better.
