Been building my own since the 286 days. Back when hard drives where 4 times the size now. And 5 1/4 floppies where the norm. I buy most of my gear now a days from Microcenter. I have two stores close by. Last Christmas my daughters husband wanted a gaming PC for Christmas. Well I didnt have time to put one together so we bought him a prebuilt gaming rig from Microcenter. Their Power Spec brand. I have to say its a nicely built system that has had zero issues a year later. All name brand components. And very little bloatware installed. If I remember just a trial of Norton's Antivirus. You might check them out. If you live close to one of their stores you can always go there too. Huge ass stores !!! More detail on these remixes. When these bands record, they have many takes of different instruments that do not make the final mix. Or they are pushed back in the mix to the point you barely hear them. Due to limitations, not every sound can make the final mix. Think of making a pie. You can only put so much ingredients into the pan. Too much and it becomes an unrecognizable mess. What they do in these remixes is keep the original base ingredients, but remove some of the extra ones and replace with different ones. And those new instruments where recorded during the original sessions. I like it. Makes for a new listening experience. I recommend any Beatles fans to listen to the originals and then the new Giles Martin ones. If your a vinyl fan (and have a descent turntable), those new pressings sound great. Same with the new Zeppelin pressing Jim Page did. Nice sounding pressings.

You have to remember. All of the Beatles albums have been remixed and re-released throughout the years. The latest Gyles Martin mixes are some of my favorites. You will hear different instruments brought forward in the mixes. Also remember with the Tele... Jim Page used one almost exclusively on the first two albums. And a small Fender Champ amp.

I stated before. In late Jan early Feb of 2020 I was sicker than a dog for 5 weeks !! At that point covid was not even a consideration. They tested for influenza A and B and tests were negative. They said Bronchitis or Sinusitis. They treated it with an antibiotic and steroid and I got better (after 5 weeks) !! But it was probably covid. Fast forward to the past three weeks. I started feeling puny and chocked it up to allergies. Well I started feeling worse and worse and finally last Thursday went to Dr. Guess what !!! Covid !!! I have been vaccinated, and my symptoms are exactly the same as what I had in Jan of 2020. So my Dr. concurs this is probably my second bought of it. My wife is unaffected by it. Im feeling better, but still very weak. Congestion is a hell of a lot better, but Im going on my 3rd week. I had the Moderna vaccine. Did the vaccine help me ? Who knows, symptoms same both times. By the time I fully recover it will be about the same duration. Crazy !!

I had both of my shots. Doubt I get any booster. My brother in law just got the booster and is sick now. It happens. Now my wife refuses to get it. And that's her choice. Some of our adult children have and some not. One of our daughters had covid and is not getting any due to having it. A friend of mine received both shots a few months ago and now has covid. My feeling is the current admins "mandate" is not legal. Thus all the lawsuits cropping up. If we let any admin force us to take vaccines, its opening Pandora's box. Which could down the road lead to who knows what. We all know the old saying.... Give them an inch and they take a mile.......

In the 40 plus years of driving, I have only bought two new vehicles. I buy 2 or 3 years old. Let the original owner take the depreciation hit. Crazy your new truck cost what my house cost when we built it, back in the 80's !!!

I have built well over 100 pc's since the days of the 286 architecture. Out of those I would say 20 have been Intel based and all other AMD based. And most of the Intel ones were built back in the late 80's and 90's. I have built a couple Intel based DAW rigs in the past few years and hated the way the Intel CPU's heat sink and fan mounted. Very flimsy. But I like AMD for the bang for the buck aspect, quality of hardware and stability. Building a PC is not what it use to be when I started. My first build required soldering, so that tells you how long ago that was. You guys remember setting IRQ's, DMA's, and other jumpers to get everything working together ???!!!! Now its mostly plug and play. So simple !!!

Im part of the "Mandate" thread others are contributing too. You have to overlook Pete, Ted, Sammy, Me and others posting there. We have been beating each other up "politically" and on other views for years !! In game and here !! Yes we piss each other off, but we all know we can count on the other if need be. Hell I offered for Pete and family to come live with us when the Zombie apocalypse or society melts down. Seeing how he would starve other wise !!! So move the "mandate" to the Political side. Back on the vaccine. Seems Colin Powell just died from covid. And he had been vaccinated !! Seems more and more vaccinated people are getting it. Yes, I know its suppose to "lesson" the symptoms if you get it. But you tell Mrs. Powell that. More and more I see, I wish I had not taken it. Like I mentioned we may be all ticking timebombs.
