sorry guys, I think those of us with Steam (and downloaded the game instead of having a real disc) and COD4 are at this point screwed until at their end they upgrade the game BACK to version 1.7. Some slacky on their end did not know that there was a version 1.7 and only saw it up to version 1.6. What has to happen imho is a bunch of folks complaining to Steam about this and ask for them to PDQ fix it.

Yes, it seems as though they found a glitch (which allowed hackers to get into the hosts computer) and fixed it, and then "forgot" to put COD4 back to version 1.7, so for those of us with Steam (who downloaded the game instead of purchasing it at a store) now currently it is set at version 1.6. I think it will take a bunch of us complaining (and hope that someone competent enough on the Steam end) to finally get this sorted. Meanwhile, no freeze-tag for us, sad to say... So, I am off to play other games...

Since playing that COD4 map (Bastogne) with the loud music, I liked the guitar licks in it and wanted to see what the lyrics were and find out about the song and HOLY COW it is sad Cool song, but too loud in the game, but it is haunting and artfully beautiful too. I've been reading about this problem, and looks like when they did a fix (to prevent hackers from getting into the hosts computer), for COD4 they did not include it up to Version 1.7 . "Apparently" someone somewhere has been informed of the problem. Does that mean it will be resolved for us to be able to play COD4 multiplayer again? We shall see... meanwhile though, no one is making any money selling us new games, so there is that. (FOLLOW THE MONEY )

it has been awhile (a year maybe) since I've played BF1, are folks still playing it? I played it so much I needed to change games. Are the new additions going well? In other words, should I fire up my game again and get back into WW1?

As a footnote, imho, BF2 was the bestest game ever (2nd was MOH back in the day.) Does anyone still play BF2? Hmmm

Always searching for the next really cool game I wanna play, there is a new Battlefield game coming out (rumors say late October, 2018) this year. Supposedly it is going to be based on World War 2. Battlefield 2018 will be following in the successful footsteps of Call Of Duty: WWII,according to a new report from VentureBeat. Ok so, I played this game as much as I could find the time for, and as per usual, I love it and am looking forward to playing it over the winter as much as I can (get away with and get work done too...) Yes, it is rather like cod 2, but better imho. It is not perfect so far, I think that there were alot of bots playing and so the few of us who were playing were surrounded by perfect bots who didn't miss, didn't have to take time to learn a map, etc. Once I figured that out, I did not feel so bad about my lousy aim and pitiful stats. One rude gamer actually said to me in game "Majbasil, you need to delete this game from your computer." Ouch. Nevertheless, I shall persist and fight on. Wohoo

Hi there! I am finally, FINALLY back gaming again, last year was hell, got cancer, got chemo, all fixed up and good to go again, so back into gaming wohoo. OK so... How many of you are going to play Battlefield 1 ? How many going to play the new COD Infinite Warfare? Are you going to have any servers for these? Still playing Hardline and BF4? OK so, started playing Hardline yesterday, and ... LIKED IT! But, it is not as cool as BF's or COD's imho BUT... found once I started playing it, I wanted to keep playing, and so well there it is. Going to have to buy the dag gone game. Here is my take on it. (KInda sad really, but here goes.) Life nowadays in the bad parts of the USA, etc. where guns rule and it is the Wild Wild West scenario that our (getting political now) conservative gun loving now majority seem to like. The game is of the society the GOP/NRA has been working to get - a free for all yee haw weapons galore society. This game shows the worst of our society imho. . . OK back to the game, fun stuff, I like learning the new weapons and maps and so far, yep this is the game I want to play today. Two thumbs up so far. OK for Funky, playing this will be like you and Bammer did go to Las Vegas, and oops you guys ended up in the "wrong part of town". (lol) OFF TO THE MAPS!

I am not planning on getting it either. You know what I really want is a today's version of MOH AA, SH and BT where the simple rifle ruled and the maps were interesting and historical. (Old school?
