  1. As I lived in Ashburn for years, I know the area extremely well. Been following this (as well as the plane landing on Ashburn (Loudoun County) Parkway last month) and it is so so so very tragic this happened! OMG! Not sure if folks realize that Loudoun County, VA has an all VOLUNTEER Fire Dept. These are heros all of them. That one of yours died, and so many others were burned and wounded by debris is heartbreaking. I am so sorry for you, for Sterling, for all the firemen/women of Loudoun County, apparently even a Fairfax fireman was hurt (Sterling is not far from the Fairfax County border.) Youtube is the best way to get info about this, here are some links -->
  2. you might have to run this many times depending on how burnt in it is, might take days? BUT it works... kinda... just depends on how bad the burn in is. ALSO, find other similar ones like this and try them, switch it up. GOOD LUCK (We ended up buying a new TV as we realized we could use a bigger and better TV in that room than that one we just fixed using this trick. SO donated it.)
  3. DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT TRY THIS!
  4. Ok I'll start.... watch these -->
  5. YES !!! Loving the mods/opening up of the map with the deli/ice cream shop and bus - yippy Sehr gut, danke.
  6. Dunno, but kinda sounds like user error? lol
  7. Just wondering out post .... What is a Rugger? Which is what Rugger made is name for? Rugger may mean: A slang word for rugby, or for one who plays rugby football, or a rugby shirt. A person who makes rugs, or a tool used when making rugs. Rugger Ardizoia, an Italian baseball player. Rugger (Star Wars), a fictional creature in the Star Wars universe. My guess... hmmmmm..... A fictional creature in the Star Wars Universe... Any other guesses, and will the real Rugger let us know?
  8. For those of you who live on the coast (or contemplating it). Buyer beware, think of it as temporary housing. 2 cents https://scied.ucar.edu/learning-zone/climate-change-impacts/rising-sea-level The future will be interesting, to say the least. (And sad, I think.) https://www.worldwildlife.org/stories/how-the-climate-crisis-could-impact-our-future
  9. where is the recipe, and.... how about adding some Heinz CHILI SAUCE to it?
  10. As for snow skiing, in the North America region the best USA State (obviously) COLORADO For kids - best ski school -- STEAMBOAT For bowls and oooo nice --- VAIL For rain, slush, sorry to say, BUT lovely nevertheless ---> Whistler/Blackcomb north of Vancouver in British Columbia, Canada LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF RUNS, and the tops have glaciers so you can even snow ski in the summer up top. Nicest thing to me about this resort vs others in British Columbia is it's proximity to Vancouver and Seattle the drive up from Vancouver is pretty. PRETTY! (And maybe awesome snows too) Heavenly at Lake Tahoe, California https://www.skiheavenly.com/ this is a nice you tube blog with good photo and info --> PRETTY as well, and I love it probably the most of all the ski resorts in the world -- TELLURIDE, Co. As for East Coast, you risk ice, imho out west is better, BUT VERMONT ...
  11. Since I lived near Washington, DC I never did need to stay at a hotel there, but here is the best of the best - where I would steer folks (expensive but heck... pretty views and easy location to "everything".) https://www.themostperfectview.com/washington-dc-hotels-best-views (The Willard, if you want to maybe see a glimpse of "famous or infamous" folks out and about and it is walking distance to the White House) Alexandra, VA if you like American Colonial-ish ambiance - all and all lots of choices, but DO NOT miss all the Smithsonian Museums! https://www.si.edu/visit/hours As for other wonderful things to see and do in the DC area ---> https://www.savoredjourneys.com/50-things-to-do-in-washington-dc/ HAVE FUN IF YOU GO!
  12. As for PARIS, may I recommend the Ile Saint-Louis ---> https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/513757?source_impression_id=p3_1704212399_%2F0GIA1HOUYZmsPQB Ice Cream --> https://berthillon.fr/ Bistro --> https://www.lesaintregis-paris.com/ THE BEST in my humble opinion! Restaurant (very small - she owns it, she serves it, she makes it) -> https://anysetiersduroy.com/ (Enjoy! or should I say, Bon Voyage and ... Bon Appetit!)
  13. So, I had "Go to Loch Ness and look for Nessie" on my bucket list, so I went... Here is my recommended place to stay (while you search for the Loch Ness Monster, etc.) https://www.unique-cottages.co.uk/cottages/highlands/inverness-loch-ness/bk7-strone-house?sa=X&ved=0CAMQFmoXChMI4MSepoy_gwMVAAAAAB0AAAAAEAw https://lochness.com/

  15. NOTTINGHAM? HOT DAMN!!! Ya'll have fun AND TAKE LOTS OF PHOTOS AND VIDEO, this is going to be funny to see ya'll in person being your silly selves. OOOO goodie some fun stuff to watch in cold late Feb.
  16. whatever.... There is good evidence that "aliens" have been around... like for over 250, 000 years, and so far we are still alive and kicking, and the Earth seems to be intact and thriving... I am a heck of a lot more worried about the crazy assholes that come into power and cause the masses to suffer. That is a real and present danger. https://ecstep.com/autocracy-is-hazardous/ The current world map of countries that have autocrats running them is freaky... Democracy, sooooo hard to get and seemingly soooooo easy to lose! https://worldpopulationreview.com/country-rankings/autocratic-countries Experts generally agree on several historical examples of autocracies, some of which are ongoing: The Soviet Union while ruled by Joseph Stalin Italy while ruled by Benito Mussolini Japan while ruled by Hirohito Germany while ruled by Adolf Hitler China while ruled by Mao Zedong Cuba while ruled by Fidel Castro Venezuela while ruled by Nicolas Maduro Russia while ruled by Vladimir Putin
  17. awww! Thanks for posting photos, how adorable!
  18. SWEET!!!
  19. 80 million.... I'd have some more houses (like the fancy estates you see in the maps) current guesses where... Quebec City, France --> dunno where yet maybe Bordeaux area ? Probably a ski resort area - Telluride, Lake Tahoe, maybe even some place in Europe, I would have to go to each one and check it out first to decide. Need: Charming, great food and lifestyle, happy people and great skiing mountains. Of course family needs and helping with this and that. Probably park about 10 million in investments for our living. As for the rest, spend the rest of my life finding ways to give it away - In the style of Fairy Godmother, Santa Clause, and that mysterious "anonymous" person.
