I have had the same thing happen to me.. I have 12 meg service from Comcast and I went from a consistent 78 to 83 ping to a 93 to 100 ping. It pisses me off too. It would not be so bad if it would just stay at one or the other, but it keeps moving around so you never know where to shoot. Artimus

If it is happening in Cod2 then you are not alone.... Every once in a while my mouse will do that too. It seems fine today but the other day it was a pain in the ass.... if ya know what I mean. Artimus

One of the chev engines had intake problems... I think it was the engine around your year. I can ask my brother who owned a shop for 20 years. He will know which years engine had an intake gasket problem. That would be a lot cheaper to replace than a head gasket. Artimus

2cuteSue, I had the same virus. It is an SOB to get rid of... I was to the point of reinstalling my OS and then some one told me to run a program called Combofix. I had nothing to lose and guess what... It fixed the darn thing.... Thanks to a few guys on here that steered me to that. It is available from Bleepingcomputer.com.
