Cobra is and was a very tough player......but he could be beat.... and he hated losing. He also has many disguises......don't think he isn't on that server again even though he has been banned many times. I can recognize his playing style in about 3 deaths......... He also comes and visits us here once in a while....under different aliases.

Hey Thanks everyone but you are a day early............ I'll take two birthdays though.... Oh... by the way......I'm off to the land of Beer, Boobs and Sun Saturday morning so you all can start whining any time........ I'll be back in a week..........maybe.........86 degrees is the forecast for the whole week......Yipee!!!!!! I'll take some pics if I don't drink too much.....

Around here they are becoming as thick as flies. Late January and most of February We can count at least 12 or more sitting in trees by the lake waiting to pick off ducks whenever they decide they need to eat. Either that or they are in the fields eating the dead calves some farmers put out in the winter. The first Eagle I saw was when I was a mere little boy of maybe fifteen.......They were rare as hens teeth back then but they are not rare nor should they be considered endangered anymore. Around here cats shiver with fear and small dogs are afraid to travel alone.....

I had a heck of a time with that virus. I finally got it back to working and Spybot Search and Destroy was the program that removed it. I screwed up and was going to relaod the second drive but ended up formatting the wrong drive so I ended up reloading Windows anyways. It was the biggest pain in the ass virus I ever worked on. I spent a week of my life fighting that stupid thing.

Hey OneOfMany!!! Wlcome to the XI Forums!!! If you would have ponied up for a mic a long time ago you could have swore at me for beatin you on the side of the head and we could have all laughed at ya like we do at Gomer!!! Seriously... get a mic. It makes it all the more fun when you don't have to turn the bash light on. Any mic will do but the better ones will give you great feedback on sound if you get a headset style. Then you can tune out the wife and she won't hear us laughing..... I have a Microsoft LifeChat 3000 and it does quite well... and it won't break the bank. Others might need a better one to keep up..... like Bart or Pimple Faced Pete but I am sure you can help kick ass on them without the top dollar ones. Enjoy..... Artimus

Make sure your heatsink and cpu fan are seated very very good. From what I have seen it is very critical to have good contact with both those in order to get a good boot. If that fails...start with only the hardware you absolutely need to boot. Vid card one stick of ram one HDD one DVD no sound no nic no nothing else....

I had to reinstall my home system when I formatted the wrong Farking drive!!!!! What a pain....Oh well one drive down and one to go. Now my Dvd drive is crapping on me so I can't install COD2....I'll have to get a new one tomorrow. I now have a squeaky clean Vista Home install.... Artimus

72 hours and I finally got her going again........ what a SOB!!!! Still having trouble with the dual boot second drive Win Vista Business booting up... I need that for the Water Association that the wife and I run. kdcom.dll error. I finally got Vista Home going by creating a new user and setting Spybot SD 2 to run. It seemed to shut the virus down but not remove the files. The files were still in the All Users\programdata folder. It also hijacked my mail shortcut icon and would restart if I clicked that. It has taken away my admin priveleges in that I can not copy or remove system files. I haven't found the extent of the full damage yet but at least it is running. I have everything backed up and might still end up doing a full reinstall due to the drive churning away all the time. This has got to be the biggest pain in the ass virus of all time.... bar none. I will not let it win though...... Joe, I usually don't run a virus program in the background to to resource useage. I just download a free one and go to it. This was a tough one and happened very fast. Icons flashed away and came back on the desktop once.....did it once more... then bang!!!! System Check came up and started running. It will not turn off or minimize. I thought for a sec it was legit because I fired up a virus program but it caught me off guard and by the time I saw it wasn't right it was too late. Art
