  1. What BudSR. said.... works like a charm. Direct link is the second option below the pic. On mine if I left click on that line it automatically copies the link and tells you it has done so. No sizing or anything else to deal with, copy, go back to XI, click on the tree, paste it in and insert..........done. And I am likely older than you so you know it's got to be easy.
  2. Unfortunately a very sad truth in too many cases. IMHO unions, NOW, are doing more harm than good. Signed Retired UAW
  3. Ah, the wisdom of old age. I bought it, played it and took it back to Gamestop and got a full refund. On the stupid side I turned around and bought MOH LE and have not yet even installed it.
  4. WANTED LMao was music even invented back in your day Wolf and Shamu Sure was Wanted, who do you think started Rock and Roll?
  5. Who the hell needs music for sex? It's a distraction to the task at hand.

    Knives

I only have one knife of sentimental value and that is a bayonet for a M-1 Garand. I got it back in 1962 but won't go into the how and where but it does have sentimental value to me. It's a M 4 bayonet for a M1 Garand, a rifle I had trained with at two assignments. I prefer not to go into how I got to keep it, as it was semi-honest.
  7. Since some of my Canadian and some European friends here at >XI< are in shock about the quantity of guns some of us own perhaps these may less shocking and even more attainable in Canada and Europe for private ownership. Note they are Damascus blades which are fine examples of a skilled craftsmanship. The top two are Charlton US Marine style K-Bars, the second one has a Giraffe bone handle. Third one is a collaboration between John Davis and Michael Rader. The fourth is made by Gaetan Beauchamp If anyone is interested in Damascus steel Wikipedia again comes to the rescue: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Damascus_steel If I posted these before I apologize for the duplication but it will help my post count
  8. Well, I still do not see a Like button. I click on the pic, I see 70 people have voted, I see options for Share, Download and Report, I see the blue thumb but it does not work as a vote, I can bring up the 70 people who have voted but I see no Like button, lower left or anywhere else. I even copied the link and went to it from my FB page...... still no working Like option. I have scrolled my mouse all over in case it was sabotaged and made invisible I am clueless.
  9. For what it's worth I am not seeing the "Like" option. I admit to be computer challenged on FB but I thought I knew how to select "Like", I just do not see it. I did see 65 people like the pic.
  10. Very interesting, never knew about it.
  11. Wolftis You just have way to much money on your hands Shamu... Let me know how that shotgun is when you get it bro. LOL, but a lesson to be learned here for our younger friends. I am a retired blue collar worker, high school education ( and a bad one at that), no inherited money. I do not have a lot of money but, TG, I have saved enough to feed my habits. The thing is young people need to learn investing and saving. If I had not done that I would be a broke dick old man. You must learn to SAVE & INVEST. I do not consider a bank account investing. I put 3 kids through college, no scholarships, been totally broke and on food stamps. I really never got over the hump until my mid 40's. But the thing is you can do it but it will hurt a bit. Lecture over. BTW, I expect the shotgun to come in around $800.00.
  12. I have one on order with my local distributor but they are not in production as yet. My understanding is some modification may be made. One is to cut a small slot in the tubes so you can visually see if shot shells are loaded in the tube. That is a makes sense mod to me. I just bought the Kel-Tec PMR 30 and am very well pleased: And also have on order the Kel-Tec RFB, 7.62 NATO: Appears I am on a Kel-Tec kick.
  13. Link is buggered, either it does not connect at all or just a sec ago it linked me to a Go Daddy page. Perhaps they have not paid their bill. Oh well, one less thing for me to do each day
  14. Subject:Cardiovascular Questions and Answers Q: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise canprolong life. Is this true? A: Your heart is only good for so many beats, andthat's it, don't waste them away on exercise. Everything wears out eventually.Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying youcan extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Takea nap. Q: Should I cut down on meatand eat more fruits and vegetables? A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What doesa cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothingmore than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Needgrain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafyvegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended dailyallowance of vegetable slop. Q: Is beer or wine bad forme? A: Look, it goes to the earlier point about fruitsand vegetables. As we all know, scientists divide everything in the world intothree categories: animal, mineral, and vegetable. We all know that beer andwine are not animal, and they are not on the periodic table of elements, sothat only leaves one thing, right? My advice: Have a burger anda beer and enjoy your liquid vegetables. Q: How can I calculate mybody/fat ratio? A: Well, if you have a body, and you have body fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc. Q: What are some of theadvantages of participating in a regular exercise program? A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophyis: No Pain………Good! Q: If I stop smoking, will Ilive longer? A: Nope. Smoking is a sign ofindividual expression and peace of mind. If you stop, you'll probably stressyourself to death in record time. Q:Aren't fried foods bad for you? A: You're notlistening. Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad foryou? Q: What's the secret tohealthy eating? A: Thicker gravy. Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a littlesoft around the middle? A: Definitely not! When youexercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you wanta bigger stomach. I hope this columnhas cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about eating and exercising.
  15. A sentimental favorite of mine, some may consider it anti-war, I do not:
  16. Well, here I go showing my age again:
  17. Too many pages to see if this one is here or not.......if not it should be and probably is: Presenting >XI< Rick James:
  18. A compilation of real oldies.....a few I do not recall:
  19. For those of you who may browse the thread but do not know the crash:
  20. Is there any other sports figure that has held his grip on his fan base for 10 years after their death, and counting, as Dale Sr. has? I don't think so. Says something about the man.
  21. But they are listed in two groups, "Gaming Community and PC Clan" and are #1 in "PC Clan". Maybe XI should be in both and set them back another peg?
  22. The points thing with the Sprint and Nationwide could get interesting now that drivers have to decide in which series their points will count. So Trevor Bayne who opted for his points to be accumulated in the Nationwide series earned 0 points for his Sprint Cup win. The win must certainly help Trevor and the Woods team with sponsorships. Maybe they will run more Sprint Cup races than they originally had planned.
  23. Big KUDOS to Trevor Bayne on his unexpected and well deserved win. I really like seeing the kid win. Special props to the old school Woods Brothers for their teams performance. Nice to see a team like theirs bring home the trophy. I actually enjoyed the race and did not mind in the least the two car drafting. All those lead changes and fender banging made the Daytona 500 a fun race to watch IMHO. Too bad for Dale Jr. but he did give it a real good shot today and deserves credit for the effort.
  24. The day 3 died took a lot out of NASCAR. He was no doubt the most popular and influential driver at the time. Since that time no one has risen from the driver ranks to take his place. His death also started a concentrated safety move withing NASCAR. Mandating the Hans device for all drivers, the Car of Tomorrow, Safer Barriers at all tracks, and countless other programs and penalties that emphasized NASCAR's concern about safety. Little did they realize that the emphasis on PUBLICIZING safety was detrimental to the sport. They are just now realizing their public emphasis on safety took away from the RISK appeal of the sport. It cost them fans. Now safety is still there but is done quietly. The in race restrictions on drivers have been relaxed and notable by NASCARS "Have at it boy's" comment. NASCAR fans want risk, they want thrill a minute racing, they want to see the drivers "trade paint". NASCAR has recognized this and has loosened the reins and is not as public about safety measures. Loosing 3 kick started the changes and the way it was handled did the sport no favors. 3 is probably rolling over in his grave over the reins placed on the drivers. Let's hope we see a return to old school driving with safety taking a quiet but important place in the background.
  25. This thread certainly has helped with participants post count
