What you make stockings for a living, lol
I understand, not about the stockings bit, but the admin aspect. It's surprising how much time it takes up. With that and doing web/ultrastats stuff at the time I was an admin, it was just too much, and the wife threatened me with no sex full stop. Of course sex comes first both the clan!

BUDMAN reacted to HarryWeezer in Surely It's Not Just Me Who's Had Enough Of This Story...
What happened in the theater in Colorado was beyond horrible and we all sympathize with the families of the innocents murdered by a deranged gunman. What a shame someone in the audience wasn't armed.
But I cringed at this story last Friday morning for another reason. It meant that I would have to shut down my access to news for the next several days - or longer. I'm a news junkie and need my daily fix but I cannot stomach TV news when an event such as this goes down.
You know in five minutes all you need to know about what happened. And anything new to the story takes but a minute or two to report. Yet, we are subjected to the same thing, the same reporting, the same images, the same video, the same story, over and over and over and over again, hour after hour, day after day, ad naseum.
It's always the same approach. Once the basic facts are reported, the news outlets turn to the so-called "human" side of the story. They interview people who almost got shot. They ask them how it "felt" looking down the end of a rifle - how the fuck do they think it felt?
Then they start digging into the personal lives of the victims - people we don't know - and by so doing they intrude on the horrible suffering these families are trying to cope with and bradcast that crap every hour of the day. They apparently think we want to know the stories of these victims. I don't want to know their story, any more than I want to know the story of the hundreds of other daily victims of senseless crime.
It's three days later and here are today's headlines:
- Obama: "Words are... inadequate."
- Tributes to the victims
- Survivor: Suspect's boot at my head
- Suspect a study in contrasts.
- Daughter: Is daddy still going to come?
- Suspect spooked gun range manager
- I didn't think we would get out alive
- Suspect silent as he heads to court
- Shooter took Vicodin before attack
- 13-year-old tried to save life of 6-year-old
- Batman items found in suspect's home.
Give me a freakin' break and STFU already. I don't wish to appear heartless - matter of fact, I'm anything but. But just tell me what happened and then get on with what else is going on in the world.
Or maybe it's just me...??

BUDMAN got a reaction from HellKid in Funny And True
A cowboy named Bud was overseeing his herd in a remote mountainous
> pasture in Montana when suddenly a brand-new BMWR advanced toward him out
> of a cloud of dust.
>
> The driver, a young man in a ArmoniR suit, GucciR shoes, Ray BanR
> sunglasses and Hugo BossR tie, leaned out the window and asked the cowboy,
> "If I tell you exactly how many cows and calves you have in your herd, will
> you give me a calf?"
>
> Bud looks at the man, who obviously is a yuppie, then looks at his
> peacefully grazing herd and calmly answers, "Sure, why not?"
>
> The yuppie parks his car, whips out his DellR notebook computer,
> connects it to his Cingular RAZR V3R cell phone, and surfs to a NASA page
> on the Internet, where he calls up a GPS satellite to get an exact fix on
> his location which he then feeds to another NASA satellite that scans the

>
> The young man then opens the digital photo in Adobe PhotoshopR and
> exports it to an image processing facility in Hamburg, Germany ...

> Within seconds, he receives an email on his iPhoneR that the image has

> "That's right. Well, I guess you can take one of my calves," says Bud.

> He watches the young man select one of the animals and looks on with

> "Wow! That's correct," says the yuppie, "but how did you guess that?"

BUDMAN reacted to MANTHIS in Simple Thank You To All Xi Admin
I dont know if the Xi admin get enough credit for all they do here at XI but It's probably not enough. From running svr and geting maps up an running to manageing the site. Ane patrolling the svr's in an attempt to catch those who try to cheat and get away with it.. In basic terms the admins do alot behind the scenes that us XI members are not aware of. They do this to make all the svrs a safe and enjoyable place to come and play. where gamers do not have to worry about their economic, social or personal standards or orientations and beliefs we are all on equal footing thanks to the rules and standards the admin have not only laid out but also enforce.I have really enjoyed my time here at XI and am gratefull to all the admin who have done their jobs well . I hope this doesnt sound like a kiss ass post cause its not meant to be but where would we be if not for the admin who go above and beyond. if gamers do not respect their fellow gamers then no one would want to play so thaks admin for everything you do.
Cheers
