So i got some free time today and was searching for the old texture pack i started a few years/months ago. I will have to start it again from scratch i think, but i managed to get some of the textures back. so this will takes months to accomplish and i may never see the end of the work, but i will try to update it when i can and when i find the time. the goal was to get a texture pack that looks like i want the game to look, most of the packs i tried have horrible light grey stone, at least thats what i think of them. And that was the main reason i started to work on this pack. so it was the first thing i tried to change. then i change a few other stuffs, then the game was updated and they put so many new stuffs in it that i stopped updating this pack. and after that they completely changed the texture pack system and my pack was put aside for good. my pack was first made in 256 pixels. This may change ... we'll see. here is some screenshots i took today with just the stone and gravel texture, but it gives a good idea of what i was looking for.

i may have some, got to check the backup of my old drive where i had mc on. But i will work on it like end of this week, maybe start a new thread with the evolution and all. because from what i see, the way textures packs are used is way different than back in the days, so i guess i'll have to start from scratch, but this is fun

even the normal launcher is telling me i can play but offline

for now i use Chromahills with their tweaked SEUS shadings, but i used to play with my own texture pack. Maybe i will update it one of these days and make it public, that was the plan, but that was long time ago. i love chromahills:

yes ssd are great, fast and all and they silent that is also a big + now about cloning, i'd love to have some ansers too, as i want to get a bigger one than the one i have now and i dont want to do a fresh install as i have many, and i mean a whole lot of stuffs (plugins, customizations and all) i dont want to reinstall

well from all i read and from both sides, its clear, u are right, there is a lot of propaganda from all sides involved. But until now, no real evidence to me. i find real hard to believe u can shoot a commercial plane by mistake, and if its not by mistake, i dont understand why they (if it was the separatists) would do such thing. on the other hand if it was the ukrainian army, i can see why. but that doesnt make an evidence either.
