hey all

does anyone have an answer as to why my optical usb mouse would suddenly stop working?  fine until yesterday, then just seems to be lagging everywhere.  made no hardware changes, installed nothing new, few battery, tried a differnet wireless optical mouse, same problem.  transmitter is plugged into the pc, not a hub.

it's a monumental pain in the ass so if anyone has a bright idea?

If it is happening in Cod2 then you are not alone.... Every once in a while my mouse will do that too.

It seems fine today but the other day it was a pain in the ass.... if ya know what I mean.

t funny u should say that arti, today was the first time i've been on cod2 since a system restore (image).  now i don't know if the 2 are connected but ever since then, the mouse has been playing up, seems to be ok on windows desktop and in programs, but on firefox or IE it just seems to freeze, like the PC is having the life sucked out of it, only lasts about 10 seconds but i can't do SFA!

I had the same issue where it would "disconnect" for around 3 seconds then reconnect. I tried everything and in the end I bought a new mouse and the problem went away.

I recommend not using a wireless mouse, however, as there are always lag issues (very minor, but there nonetheless) and possible interference from other signal emitters in the house

Just my 2 cents
