Over time more details will come out and each individuals actions.................or lack of action will be better understood. Considering the severity of the incident I agree with the immediate firing, it was the only reasonable choice for the school to make. I would not even be surprised if more were to follow.

He did this week - fastest fall from grace for a sports Icon in this country. I bet the OSU "bad guys" are happy. Penn State has taken the spotlight off them for a while. Much as I hate OSU, it was getting a little ridiculous. Anyway, I hope every single person who was involved, and neglected to do something, either legally or morally gets everything they deserve. I grew up at the hands of an abusive father who thought that it was not a complete day unless he almost put my brother and I in the hospital so in some ways I can understand how those kids must have felt. Of course, I was not sexually abused like them, but the feeling of helplessness and despair knowing your life is in the hands of someone who can make it thoroughly miserable, painful (emotionally and physically) is overwhelming, especially as you know there is nothing you can do about it. It is like the school bully magnified a million times. The fear of an imposing adult when you are only 8-10 years old is something even I cannot find words to describe. I sincerely hope that Mr. "Touched" (wow, what a name for his book - bet he never saw that coming) gets to go from Penn State to State Penn and gets to share a cell with some 300lb hulk who is hung like a horse and has to take it every night for the next 20 years. Then he maybe can start to feel a little of what he imposed upon those poor, defenceless, "at risk" kids - bastard. As for Joe, and the rest of gang, there is already some more dirt coming out and I think it will be a long time before the dust settles on this one. I think there will be a few people going to jail for this. I actually feel sorry for the current players and students. It was nothing to do with them. They were not even at the school when all this is alledged to have happened but you know they will feel the brunt of this with the merciless taunting and vicious sniping that will happen from opposing teams and fans. I am inevitable too Pete....... As for JoePa and this whole situation, it is really a shame that his career is ending like this. He has always been the "good guy". He screwed the pooch on this one. he should have done more and not just run to the Athletic Director. If he had gone to the police instead and reported Sandusky, he would still have a job and the respect he earned over the years. Now he has neither. Awards
