The popular narrative surrounding the life of Osama bin Laden is filled with questions, intrigue, and misinformation. Though he ultimately became one of the most loathed figures in the American psyche, it’s important to remember that bin Laden was once a good friend of the U.S. government. In many ways, he can even be considered a creation of American officials and their allies. His Mujahedeen, or Islamic warriors, were even aarmed ,traind, and supplied finaced by America and some of its allies

Former British Foreign Secretary Robin Cook, wwriting in the U.K. Guardian, had some interesting observations. Noting that “throughout the 80s [bin Laden] was armed by the CIA and funded by the Saudis to wage jihad against the Russian occupation of Afghanistan,” Cook called bin Laden “a product of a monumental miscalculation by western security agencies.” And while not everybody agrees that it was an accidental miscalculation, the fact that he worked with the U.S. government and other Western powers is beyond dispute.

Just what i believe and have read in many reports.

*cough*

'However, in his last communication on the subject with George Friedman, Stratfor’s chief executive, at 3.10pm, Mr Burton wrote: “: “Down and dirty done, He already sleeps with the fish…”'

There would be no advantage to keeping his body. Not much intelligence collection can be performed from looking at a dead body.

Its Irrelevant what Bin Ladin did prior to 9/11. Thats like saying Hilter did a great job for Germany. As for Bin Ladin being loathed In America. Maybe you should think Global for the most of the Entire world loathed the guy.. Or is that Globalization... (lol).

What a useless information people know that there are secret services that distort facts.

But the fact remains that bin Laden is dead and that is what matters

He is dead, why do we care if he is at the bottom of the ocean or being studied by scientist? Are you afraid that they are going to make him into a zombie?
