They may hate the English and I do not take issue with that but when they randomly target civilians I find I take exception. I have also visited her Irish family more than a few times, both here and there, and was quite surprised to find that many in the Republic of Ireland do not want unification with the North. It seems they fear the economy of the North would only hurt the Republic of Ireland. That might have been because the IRA were "nothing better than terrorists" being...terrorists! How about the deliberate targeting of police officers and military personnel in a Western democracy? (I am "full English" Catholic by the way! Catholicism has sweet F.A. to do with murdering soldiers and cops.) There are still a small number of dinosaurs over there who think they can achieve something via the bomb and the bullet. A truly American problem and not just PIRA. If our ethnic civilian groups would stop funding foreign poitical activists of any religious faction or political persuasion we would all be better off. TIme is long past for us to mind our own business and keep our money at home. No wonder I prefer charity to domestic animal welfare agencies.
