I have read that it will be virtually impossible to get because of the limited amount available and all the big ( and I mean BIG) players waiting in line to gobble it up. And as you mentioned, it probably isn't possible for the average person. You don't need to buy before the initial public offering to make a buttload of money. Just don't borrow money to buy stock. Chances are good that once the stock goes public the price will settle down after a couple days. That would probably be a good time to buy and if it's like other similar hi-tech stocks the long-term outlook is very good and it will go way up in price. Naturally there are never any guarantees but if were me and I had extra money to invest I would buy Facebook. Awards
