ok i have a little problem on cod4, i know it may sounds weird, but thought i would share it here, as some of u may help.

i experience some weird lag when in close combat. its like i see the enemy at one place then as soon as he start shooting at me, i cant shoot, it kinda freeze and all i know is next second im dead and the enemy seems to be teleported 1 or 2 yards from where i saw him first time.

i was thinking maybe its because of my ping, but i remember playing cod4 on the same ping without this problem before. So im not sure where this problem came from.

maybe some settings are wrong on my side, or maybe its hardware related, i dunno.

any ideas ?

i dont seems to have that problem from medium to long range, but only on close combat.

i also think the shotty is lagging me for some reason, but then maybe its just the same problem that occurs on close combat.

i have lagometer on but i dont seems to notice any problem

one thing i also noticed is that my keyboard seems like it loose its connection with the computer sometimes.

so if i was pressing the forward or left key, even if i dont press the key, my soldier move forward or left.

this happens like every round

its been a long time i noticed those problems now, but nobody was able to help me yet :)

anyway, its not a BIG problem, but it would be awesome to find the solution.

so any help would be greatly appreciated :)

CHKN, First I would try another keyboard. Replace the obvious first. Next please post your system specs. Thats gonna help us alot. Depending on whether you are running an older system or not you could try lowering some of the eye candy in the game to increese FPS

Ok, the Power Supply may be an option, but with its efficiency it should easy handle your hardware.

One thing you shouldn't forget is your ping! The servers are all overseas and from us you have sth. between 150 and 300. In random cases less than 130...but that's not often. In other words - when the Server gets the information of your opponents position it hast been 35ms later...plus calculation and sending the info overseas it has been travelling for app. 200ms...when you send your info back (shot, knife, whatever..) it takes another 150ms....so your shot reaches a point where your enemy HAS BEEN 350ms before! So if so. is running for e.g. from left to right I shoot in front of him so the bullet hits him.

if u run r game on a "non-standart fps" likes 125 it gonna push ur ping a bit, so try to set ur fps down.
