Hi hackeklaus it was a combination of problems but after speaking to LaRSin via x-fire he was able to help me sort it and everything is sweet again.

Mainly it was airflow through the case that was causing it to overheat but its all good now.

Playing MOH at full spec and its running at 77*c which is cool

After taking more looks at it I would agree that the top fan should blow out. It is too close to the CPU's wind direction and would make more sense to blow out.

UNLESS the fans for the CPU are blowing down toward the video card. This would make the video card run hot. (the heat from the CPU blowing on the video card.) ...The CPU's fans, and the top fan should all blow upward and out of the case.

Now if you close all those holes in the back you will force ALL the air in the bottom of the case out through your video card. The more air flow - the cooler the components...

hi guys well its good news and bad I flipped over the power supply reversed the top fan to bring air into the case, Fitted a manual switch so I can really crank up the intake fan at the front.

Now the bad I stripped down the graphics card to re-paste the heatsink so no problem untill I DESTROYED the cover by stepping on it so now I have had to improvise and to get round this I fitted another small exhaust fan on the back of the case which in theory should draw the Air across the graphics card and keep it cool...

or go liquid

5097cad428abc_newphonepics05112012054.jpg I also rewired all cables after these pics to give the best airflow through the case..

so I NOW HAVE A FRONT INTAKE FAN WITH ADJUSTABLE SPEED CONTROL A SIDE INTAKE FAN STRAIGHT ON TO GPU THE TOP FAN INTAKES NOW AND 2 REAR EXHAUST FANS

TEMP NOW SITTING AT 20 DEG C / 68 DEG F ON IDLE

Just try a table fan...small for less noise...blow directly onto video card from two feet away...it wont' hurt to try this...then this way you can tell if the fan on the gpu is doing its job...and as well if you don't have a fan curve set in msi..precision or riva..it will rely on the auto setting which in my opinion is a bit too hot...just set up a fan curve...[when its 30 c make the fan got to say 45 percent] and so on..that way you can hear the card ramping up and down to compensate for the heat,,, and make it to start with windows let us know Edited by JohnnyQuest
