i have a 5100c dell pc when it gos to windows and log in it go black but it still running what could it be and im trying to unlock the bios or reset it so i can put a new copy of windows

Start in Safe Mode w/ Networking (tapping the F8 key immediately after the power-on self test) and see if you can get in that way.  Then use msconfig.exe to eliminate unnecessary programs at boot-up.  You can add them back in one at a time if necessary to figure out what's going amuck.  Could be anything.  Rogue program.  Corrupt video driver...  Who knows, but these are the initial steps you need to take.

sounds if you been hijacked by malware root virus, need to but root repair on usb stick

 

once fixed use a UAC password

Hm. try to wiggle the vga cable or the cable that connects to monitor in the back of the pc or the graphics chip on the mobo is just dead.
