Hello,

my pc is starting to be a bit old, for things i do daily, like gaming, graphics and editing HD videos.

as i use my computer for work, im planing to buy a imac 27' with i5 quad core, but was wondering if anyone here knows if i could play games like cod4, bfbc2 on the mac with bootcamp for example running windows 7. And would that be easy ?

anyone already playing like this ?

Im a Mac User ( Engineer ) I play COD4 on a mac in Mac OS and it is super fast.. Not sure if BFBC2 is available for the Mac. Using WIndows on a mac is ok for running some applications but running games in it is not very good. most do not launch or if they do they run very slowly.

My thoughts are that gaming software is released for pc far earlier than a mac version and also a pc is more upgradeable regarding graphics cards etc. Macs are exremely well built and I love the functionality of them, they have their place in the market,I just think there is more out there that is pc compatible than  Mac,and also kids here are taught microsoft packages here in the UK.

yea, i agree ape, but macs are really most user friendly for the stuffs im working on, there is no comparison.

and i still use my pc for cod4 now, so will still be able to play on pc, just i was wondering if playing games on mac OSX with win 7 was possible on a new imac

that way i could have use the awesome 27' monitor, the i5 or i7 cpu, ... for games, that would have been great.

will test this when i will get the imac.

I bought a macbook 2 months ago and i gotta say the the Mac os is way way way better and faster then windows. But after a week orso i installed windows on it because there was software that i wasnt able to run on the mac os. As for gaming i installed Cod 2 on it but i got the bottom of the line macbook so it didnt run so well. As the price for mac games those are f*cking crazy!

I am running a newer IMAC and playing COD2 on it. Graphics and everything seem fast.  Only thing i wish is that there was a Real Xfire that i could talk with.  I am using Blackfire which works well for chat, I like it better than Ifire, but it does not support talking.
