WAW patch problems

Prizbak is trying to get WAW running, and is getting errors after the last patch.. here is his PM to me:

 

i have world at war and i just installed the patches and the problem is that the 1.5-1.6 patch installs fine but every time i try to install the 1.6-1.7 patch it tells me must install the 1.6 patch first there is no specifically named 1.6 patch for waw there is just the 1.6-1.7 patch can you maybe ask someone who knows that game as well as you know cod4 for what the possible solutions may be it doesnt matter where i download the patches from or install them from the problem doesnt change please help if you can

I did a lot of searching in the forums, and others have had the problem.. but none of you followed up to tell the solution.. IDIOTS

u need all the patchs on there 1.1 then 1.4 and so on so on

as far as I know...1,7  replaces all those patches.....try to intall only 1.7 and see what happens..

The 1.2 patch contains the 1.1 patch and the 1.4 patch contains the 1.3 patch.

With that said these are the patches that you need: 1.2,1.4,1.5,1.6 and 1.7 which will look like this,

1.2-PatchSetup,1.2-1.4-PatchSetup,1.4-1.5-PatchSetup,1.5-1.6-PatchSetup and 1.6-1.7-PatchSetup.

There is an all inclusive patch out there that was made by a community member but it can be hard to find now:

The WAW forum has a ton of great things already posted. Mr Rick James da panda hoe monster has given us these fine link sausages to follow. Its all ya need. Well Priz.. you are shit outta luck looks like!! Nobody seems to have you an answer to prob.

 

I suppose you can dump it all and start it over again. Maybe even try to use the 'ultimate patch' that gump suggested

What the error is saying is that the 1.5 to 1.6 patch is broken so he must download a good copy of the patch. Its not hard to get a corrupted patch or a patch loading to get corrupted. Many would tell ya after a few tries that the whole mess should be deleted and try again. I say what the hell try getting the patch again and trying again. P.S. save them . Good luck I need the fodder out ther hope you get the game working.

i have had the same problem, how i fixed this was by downloading all of the patches from bigdownload.com and make sure u download all of them, then install them in order, if one doesnt want to install redownload that patch it pissed me off too ik what u mean

Myself and tsw8.5 just installed it on his new computer yesterday with no problems. We started with the first one and installed each patch in order. Like Labob said, you probably need to redownload that one patch.
