Just loaded WAW need help

Hi All

not sure if this is the right place for this, as the title says....

I loaded the game, took a few attempts! I can't put my name in new account as it says the ' the account cannot be created. User name is not available.' what do I do?

Also there is a need to download patches etc where are these and which do I need to start from?

I just downloaded it from steam, my last pc I had the disk version and already had Unarmed as my user name. The new install gave me the same message. I just changed the a to @ and it took it.

I just installed mine from Steam now and the only issue I had was that my name was in use as I used to own the disc version when it first came out.

I just called myself TottyXI and I was in.

Top tip for finding XI servers, search internet servers and scroll down to where the ping matches your ping in our COD4 servers, you will find them all there.

Then just add to favorites.

It saves typing IP addresses

Need 1.7 patch to run on our servers, don't use the 1.8 patch is for steam

other what OS you are using to install    Note: with patches have to do them in order 1, 2, 3,  etc. also when exe the patch use admin rights to install by right click EXE and select run as administrator.

Thanks all, patches now loaded although I had to go to another site to load 1.6.

Another question on the graphics options the screen size and refresh are blanked out, is this right?

you  have TeamSpeak ?  so we can chat

you have go in graphic/video  and try also have your video card drivers up to date.

I forget what driver versions worked, if hang up  hit ALT-DEL-CTRL  open task manager and close game.

here I'm runnig  game 1080  with screen 3840x2160  Note  game ver 1.7.1263

now you need to get your ehmmmm toosie in OW FT or vietnam FT
