Yea I'll be getting this also.Heard that there will be multiplayer too,game should be pretty good.Been playing the original game on dos box in windows 7.

I think your video card is your problem.The minimum to run the game is a 6600gt.A 6600le is not a supported card. -
Try disabling MaCafee and see if pb will work,it might be blocking it.You could also try adding an exception in the settings to not scan the pb files.Personally I would get rid of MaCafee and try one of the free solutions,like Microsoft Security Essentials.

You could get a list of the current map rotations and delete everything else minus the original install files of course but like you say it's time consuming.They do make a directory cleaner for CoD2,it will clean everything out and take it back to stock and start over like Noddy said,You can get it here: http://callofduty.filefront.com/file/;93569 -
Don't use the auto-run,browse cd # 1 and click on the setup.exe from there.After it's installed you'll need the 1.3 patch.

The 1.2 patch contains the 1.1 patch and the 1.4 patch contains the 1.3 patch. With that said these are the patches that you need: 1.2,1.4,1.5,1.6 and 1.7 which will look like this, 1.2-PatchSetup,1.2-1.4-PatchSetup,1.4-1.5-PatchSetup,1.5-1.6-PatchSetup and 1.6-1.7-PatchSetup. The 1.6 patch is inclusive of all the patches up to and including 1.6,so the only patches needed are 1.6 1nd 1.7.Finding the 1.6 inclusive can be dificult as it was put together by a community member.

Kill3r also made a map called rat_house_v2b1.It has gattling guns,SAM missle launchers,flying sleds,jump boots,flying blimps and allot more.Really a fun map to play with this mod. -

These are the patches you need installed in this order: 1.2 1.2-1.4 1.4-1.5 1.5-1.6 1.6-1.7 from your post it appears you skipped the 1.4-1.5 patch.

I probably play the most on the CoD2 DM server.Since the CoD2 TDM server opened Ive found that I like it too as the CoD4 ace mod server.It's a tough choice for me because I have fun on all of them.
