All was good sammy...some maps we played were optimized well some weren't...fps was all over the place in some maps.

If you have the extra money you could take it to the computer repair they can pull all your files on to flash drive, reinstall windows and then put your files back...you can also do this yourself with an external hard drive, just take all the files you want, from C:drive and then put them back after the install (even game files then you can install the game and then drag all the files off external back to the pc and you won't have to dl all the patches) ...they are really cheap now a days, i got a 3 TB external at costco for eighty dollars but 1terabyte hard drives are everywhere for about 40 to 60 dollars and you always have your files handy just in case. But yeah a fresh install will clean it up and yeah i doubt it will load the disk if its the HD...no worries its really easy my grandson 18 changes from windows 7 back to to xp every month lol...hes never happy hehe. but if your getting the loading screen i don't think its a bad HD. Probly when it got the update it left out a windows dll...even if its the HD i would seriously think on the external to. Hope it all goes good for you this weekend!

1st of all run your motherboard disk for those drivers i believe with xp... then run this program to install and update all the rest of your drivers (it finds them and installs them for you) plus defrag and clean up the the pc and registry for you also http://www.pcpitstop...ore/pcmatic.asp excellent program for all windows even Windows 7...sounds like your getting a lot of good advice here! Sorry forgot to add this, its the old fashioned way Control Panel/ Add - Remove Programs/ select the "Show Updates" upper right i think/check box and uninstall the required update which will populate the full list of installed programs. Find the last installed update (by Date) and remove it try this also just hit start/run and type one of these in to put back the windows file that is missing .http://www.windowsreinstall.com/articles/xpcommandline/SFCcommandline.htm

GUYZ, THIS DIRECT X ISSUE IS NOT RELATED TO THE DIRECT X UPDATE, WINDOWS UPDATE ETC.. IT IS THE VERY OWN NVIDIA LATEST DRIVER THAT SEEM TO BE CAUSING THIS ISSUE. HOW TO FIX IT... UNINSTALL THE LATEST NVIDIA DRIVERS FROM THE ADD / REMOVE (FOR XP) OR PROGRAMS AND FEATURE OPTION FOR VISTA.Once it is done, go to C drive, DELETE any NVIDIA FOLDER containing display drivers. click start, click RUN or click under start search (if its vista or win 7), type 'temp' (without quote) press ENTER. (Opens a folder, delete all files, leave the rest which windows cant delete or currently in use etc). close the folder, now click start click RUN or start search, type '%temp%' (opens a folder, delete all files etc) TURN THE INTERNET CONNECTION OFF SO THAT THE WINDOWS DOES NOT FIND AND DETECT THE LATEST NVIDIA DRIVERS. RESTART THE COMPUTER.. GO TO THE NVIDIA WEBSITE BUT DO NOT DOWNLOAD THE LATEST NVIDIA DRIVERS, USE SOME OLD DRIVER WHICH IIS 18.00 WHQL VERSION ETC....... restart system again.. ISSUE FIXED.. I wish you guys would come over and try the mod the way i have it set up as i agree i love playing with you guys but it was to easy and i have set it up a different way on the server here 8.17.251.180:28965 much more challenging...i am getting rid of the cod4 servers this month " just keeping the test mod server "and really enjoy playing rotu2 and would like to have a place to play it. I will help you guys as much as i can with this mod as we at »ÐÐÇ« enjoy playing on your servers! Come on over and give it a try i think most of you will like it...
