  1. Just so you know Nick, Michigan has a long record of sucking big time when they play the bucks. My mom just turned 80, and she still watches all of the buckeye games. A little piece of trivia for you. The Detroit Lions use to be the Portsmouth Ohio Spartans. My brother went to Portsmouth high and played in their old stadium. Since they've been in Detroit they've pretty much sucked ever since, as in the last 100 years or so.
  2. No, no, no. Crack is good, crack is your friend. Love the crack.
  3. Watching that made my putter flutter.
  4. Nick, I grew up about 1.5 hours east of Cincinnati and still go back on occasion. I usually fly into Cincinnati and the airport is located just across the river in Hebron. If your job is in Hebron you don't necessarily have to live there. There are lots of suburbs around Cincinnati that are really nice and the real estate is probably priced about the same as where you are now. It's hot as Hell and muggy in the summer and cold in the winter, but they usually don't get large amounts of snow like people up around the great lakes. Downtown Cincy is probably a lot safer than most parts of Detroit, but they do have crime like any other city. As far as schools are concerned, Ohio and Kentucky have some of the best public schools in the country. Had I not been in a family business in California for the last 30 years I would have stayed in Ohio and raised my kids there. I have many fond memories of my childhood and still have family there. Things haven't changed much since I've been gone and if I had a good job opportunity in that part of the country I'd take it. For what I pay to live on the south end of middle class in California, I could live like a king in Ohio. Dayton is about an hour north of Hebron and there are tons of burbs in between where there are great communities, schools and good old southern Ohio hospitality. Good luck!
  5. I actually like the gunship. Not flying it but shooting it down, then listening to the pilot bitch about the short ride.
  6. Yeah we need some kind of TDM tourney where there is some kind of prize. I nominate Window to organize the entire thing and donate the prize.
  7. Well I for one appreciate the gesture and hope that you keep it up for a very long time. After the game with the screen shot I posted above Loader told me that you rage quit and went to shove pins in the head of your LOM doll. I still chuckle when I think about it.
  8. You guys need to keep drinking heavily on weekends and "trying" to play TDM the next morning.
  9. Window warned me that if we ever meet not to leave my drink alone with you. I understand why now. If I woke up in the morning not knowing what happened and my underwear smelled like your breath, I'd freak out.
  10. Sean Connery made the accent cool, Scotty on Star Trek made it fun.
  11. So what you're saying is that it took your wife 6 years to accept your proposal?
  12. Joe I would gladly trade places with the man in that picture. That's Jack Nicholson, and there have probably been more hot women sucking on those man boobs than all of us combined have seen in our lives.
  13. I always find the fastest way to make some quick extra money is to sell things on eBay. You would be amazed what people will pay big bucks for on there.
  14. Very cool DJ.
  15. The horse was fine. It was a freeking draft horse and so wide across the top I felt like I was doing the splits the entire ride. I couldn't bend my ankles in far enough to kick him. My stirrups were 4 feet off the ground. We were riding in water in a creek and my wife's horse freaked out and ran into the woods and she got knocked off, and as that was happening my horse slipped in the water and went down. For some reason our daughter wanted us to have the "expert" ride when neither of us have ridden in over 20 years. My body feels like a train wreck today. It was still a lot of fun for all of us but I think I'm done horse back riding.
  16. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family TBB.
  17. Here is a little more or a close-up. You can't really see the rack but a few minutes later he jumped out of some brush as we went by and I got a good look.
  18. Here is something Bart will appreciate. A nice 6 point black tailed buck ran in front of us.
  19. My wife told me that she wanted to go someplace romantic and ride a big one until it hurts. Somehow, I think that I misunderstood her request, but she was ok with it. My daughter is a guide for a huge horse ranch in Bodega Bay which is the little town where Alfred Hitchcock filmed "The Birds". This is the view from her office. Life's a bitch huh?
  20. Sorry but that is a hoax. http://www.hoax-slayer.com/leptospirosis-soda-can.html
  21. Congrats DL. You've joined a very exclusive club.
  22. When they start flying, post more pictures.
  23. Whining is fine leadfinger. I know that some people (like you) are definitley feeling the shutdown, it's just that the examples the media is showing is all fluf. Stories like yours are the ones people should be hearing about. And yes Loader, I heard about the kids not getting their cancer treatment as well. Seems like the doctors would take it upon themselves to do the work without pay, at least I would if I were them.
  24. Just curious really. The only people that I've seen affected by the shutdown is the media. They're jumping on every little thing trying to get "the big story" of people that are being hurt. Here is a statistic for you. Six thousand people will die every day the government remains shut down. That's right, more than 70,000 dead people a week while our government sits on their asses. Now that would grab some headlines don't you think? Of course, that many people die every day anyway, but the way our media works here in the good old US of A, that wouldn't matter. Sorry for venting. Carry on.
  25. Be glad you don't live in China. In the last couple weeks the Asian giant hornet has killed 42 and injured 1,640. http://behindthewall.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/10/03/20800024-china-struggles-to-control-spate-of-hornet-attacks-as-deaths-rise?lite
