Great find Codpiece. I've flown into LA maybe 100 times in my life and it's usually nothing special, but during the dozen or so night arrivals I always have my face glued to the window. Even from thousands of feet in the air all you can see is an endless sea of lights. It's one of the few things I enjoy about that shithole they call City of Angels.

Call the cops and file a report. Your neighbor is only financially responsible if the tree trimming company won't pay for the damages, and if that's the case your neighbors home owners insurance will have to pay for it. If they don't own up to it, file a small claim and let the judge decide. It sounds like you aren't friends with the neighbors anyway, and if they're going to treat you like this, no reason not to let the system work for you. And if your other neighbor refuses to tell the police the truth about what he saw, tell him that your lawyer will have him record a deposition under oath, and if he doesn't tell the truth he'll be a lot more involved than he ever wanted to be. Perjury is a felony.

We appreciate the effort Boss. And Joe, this was a separate server from the main DM. We were trying to get people over to the new server to try it out, but there weren't many takers.

If you were more active on the web site you would probably have lots of medals. You've been a member since 2007 and have made 22 posts? Since you never post anything here nobody on the web site really knows you, so why would they give you medals? People who want to become members are required to make at least 20 posts on the web site before they are eligible for membership. It looks like you became a member and never posted here after that.

Rugger, at this point since we can't seem to get any groups to play on the new server, and since those few who bothered to help out on the tracert test didn't show any significant improvement between the Chicago and Dallas servers, I'd say let's just take down the new server and leave things as they are. You've put enough time into this already and if nobody is interested it doesn't make sense for you to waste any more of your time on it. I do really appeciate your effort though.

Well at least they were brave enough to show up LOM rather than hiding under their beds like you haha On the contrary Joe, I saw all of you playing but while you were enjoying an excellent ping mine was 200+ and not worth playing. Although I probably could have still beaten that miserable ratio you had winning that one particular map.

We were having trouble on the COD2 data feeds not long ago with the stats and player names. You might be there but not appearing on the list with your regular handle. An admin for that server should do a search in the admin portal for your name then check to see what alias' appear under your IP address and/or GUID. My guess is that the files got mixed up and your stats appear under another name. I just looked under the XLR stats for the WAW server on all 10 pages of results, and your name appears nowhere in the results.

All I can say Joe is that the other players must have been having exceptionally bad nights.

It's pretty straight forward. All you have to do is play better than everybody on the stats board that's above you.

I was on most of last night through HLSW, but my ping was so bad I didn't bother to play. Nobody was in the new server, and I didn't want to risk asking the 10 or so players to move and risk having them quit for the evening. We do need to figure out a way to get people in there though.

Completely agree. We don't want to rock the boat if it only helps a few people. I'm more than willing to wait for a better ping as long as we keep the crowds we've been getting for the last week.

Bart and I just played a round and even though our pings were fairly steady and low, it was kind of laggy. Not sure what the problem was.

Yep I always figured the little spikes that happen every minute were here and I can live with those. It's just when the latency is bad and it causes the spikes to drag out for several seconds, and that's when things get bad. I noticed the other day when loader and I were on at the server alone that we were experiencing spikes and CI's at exactly the same time, so at least in that case you had two people on different end of the US getting the same issues at the same time, which would indicate a problem on the server end.

I just went in a ran around on a map. It was very smooth with no lag. As you can see from the image below there is still a little spike every minute or so but the lower ping more than makes up for that. The ping finally settle in at around 50 for me and is considerably better than the existing servers.

Can you PM me the rcon password so I can load it up on HLSW? At least for me the ping is about half of what the normal DM server is.

That must be tough, living on opposite ends of the US.

Rugger, Will there be a 3rd server or are you going to replace one of the current servers for a month?
