  1. I'm sorry you're unable to distinguish between a "rant" and reasoned explanation, backed up with cited sources. However, one must be prepared for some reaction if one asserts something derogatory about another's country or society. It was reasonable, in my view, to post the facts in a public forum as the assertion was made in public. I shall always challenge obvious misinformation and exaggeration when it is presented as fact. End of. Sorry Deejay, you must not have gotten the memo. On XI it is perfectly acceptable behavior for members to criticize another member’s country or society without fear of criticism for doing so. Those who take offense at derogatory comments made by other members must learn to suck it up and take it, and refrain from making a retaliatory comment about the offender’s country for fear of offending them. Welcome to the new world order.
  2. I can't imagine life without dogs. They are members of my family. Just be happy you don't have a wife that likes to dress the dogs up on Halloween like my wife does. It's very humiliating for the poor dogs. Oh and Christmas too.
  3. Wow really? Deejaykeg starts a new subject to correct some bullshit statistic thrown out in a conversation and you throw out yet another bullshit statistic that has absolutely nothing to do with this subject he is discussing? 1. Alaska isn't part of Canada 2. Alaska doesn't top any nation or US state for sexual crimes. In-fact the registered sex offenders per 100,000 in Alaska is much less than most US states. http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=127235597
  4. Two Kindergarten girls aged 5 were trash talking at a bus stop and one said to the other that she was going to kill her with this. She didn't have it with her, she just told the little girl about it. The other girl told her parents, who told the school which promptly suspended the little offender for making a "terroristic threat". Is this really what society has become, getting suspended from school for saying something that is beyond the comprehension of a baby? http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/01/19/16602312-kindergartner-suspended-for-pink-bubble-gun-threat?lite=
  5. What handle are you playing under? You say you tried playing on COD2 but I don't see anybody named Guppie that has been on our servers.
  6. Kudos to the guy with the gun pointed at him. He wasn't going down without a fight.
  7. When I was a kid in Ohio we had 75 hens and had that happen once. Somehow the formed egg travels back up her tubes into the ovary and another egg forms around it. From what I understand it's extremely rare, but at the rate humans eat eggs and the number of chickens in the world it's bound to happen once in a while.
  8. If there is a market for python meat or skins, even if there was over a million of the slimy bastards crawling around the hunters could keep the population in check. Humans have a habit of hunting things completely or nearly to extinction when money and food is involved. In the states we have organizations like forgotten felines where volunteers capture, spay or neuter, then release cats to live in feral colonies. In Hawaii, they have similar organizations, only there they put the cats down because they kill off native wildlife, mainly rare birds. In the Americas and most of the world, humans are the invasive species.
  9. Yeah Spanky is having a bad week. I snapped this one tonight just before he went home crying. If you zoom in on the picture you can see his comment underneath the scores. It says: "I hate u all......I'm taking my ball and going home." He's such a good sport.
  10. I have a location feature on our family cell phone network and can find my kids whenever I like. It is nice knowing, and kids hate turning their phones off for fear of missing a text from a friend, so it's always able to find them.
  11. Questioning his athletic abilities would be naive? Really? There are millions of great athletes in the world. By your reasoning taking drugs to give you a slight edge over your competitors is acceptable?
  12. LOL, that was great.
  13. I think all public figures, regardless if it's an athlete, a politician or simply somebody who stands to make money from doing something they claim is true, should be willing to submit to random polygraph tests. I wonder how it would go over if we did surprise lie detector tests on members of congress and the president as well as professional athletes? People want their role models to tell the truth about what they've done and accomplished. If they can't pass a lie detector test, fire them.
  14. Been there a few times and it's always fun to watch. It's one of the few places where spectators can catch a wave too.
  15. Happy birthday paper. Make it a great one.
  16. And for you really old farts, remember when women had full bushes?
  17. Unfortunately most colleges have policies similar to those and students have little choice but to take them. I predict a big shake-up in the near future regarding required courses and the cost of a college education. Students are graduating with debt equal to a mortgage and it's getting more difficult to find jobs that pay enough to ever pay the loans off. Like many things in the US, something's gotta change.
  18. I invented a pair of odor eliminating underwear years ago, but I couldn't get people very excited about having a burning pilot light and small tank of butane hidden in their undies.
  19. Here and I was all excited just to wake up another morning.
  20. It seems that there are so many crimes that are less serious than murder these days. A college professor in PA finds out that his wife is leaving him and filing for divorce. He beats her to death like a fucking coward, then gets parole after serving 5 years in prison. If I was a family member of that woman and knew I would only get 5 years in prison, I would end that mother fucker. http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/01/17/16559862-professor-who-murdered-wife-set-for-parole-after-5-years-in-prison?lite&ocid=msnhp&pos=7
  21. She wasn't stupid, you simply hadn't had enough to drink yet. Looks aren't the only thing that alcohol can make more attractive on some women. Of course this isn't the case with women of XI.
  22. Kids today not only don't know what any of that stuff is, they don't want to know. All they want to do is sit on their computer or game system. If they go to a friends house, they sit there on their friends computer or game system. When I was growing up and it wasn't a school day, from the age of 6 I was out the door as soon as my chores were done and didn't get home until it got dark, unless the neighborhood kids got together and played kick the can for a couple hours after dark. I didn't want to be home, I wanted to be out hunting, fishing, hanging out with friends at the city pool, stealing wood from construction sites and building tree forts out of it in the woods, ANYTHING BUT SITTING AT HOME. If I wanted to go someplace I rode my bike, even if it was 10 miles away. When I turned 16 and got my drivers license I was gone even more. Then all I wanted to do is get laid and hang out with friends. My dad worked my brother and I hard. I cut 7 acres of grass a week, tended to an orchard and livestock, but I got it all done and had fun. Computers and technology are great, but it's turned an entire generation of kids into fat, lazy, good for nothing dead-beats that don't know how to interact with people face to face and will never know how to find a good job.
  23. Lying and cheating seem to be the norm in our world today. The postal service paid him 10 milliion to put their logo on his shirt. As far as I can tell he fulfilled his obligation to them. He never guaranteed he would win or that he would win without cheating. In fact there were allegations of cheating before the USPS was his sponsor. They got what they paid for as far as I'm concerned. People lie for financial gain and for attention. We had two XI members lie about one of them having cancer. Politicians and lawyers lie every day of their professional lives. The former CEO of Yahoo lied about his college degree and was fired for it. For whatever reason, lying has become easier than telling the truth in our world. It sucks, but there isn't much any of us can do about it, other than telling the truth.
  24. Sometimes they're all annoying.
