  1. Probably cottonwood trees Astronomer. We have them coast to coast.
  2. Just for the record, my wife was talking to me during that map.
  3. Thoughts are with you Cobra
  4. Post one naked picture a day in the boobs and buns forum. You'll be a whore in no time.
  5. This is why I and every member of my family has a password on their cell phones just in case the phone is lost or stolen. The phones can't be used or accessed without knowing the codes. I'm not worried about somebody breaking in while we aren't home. We have two lovely yellow labs that are very friendly to people we introduce them to, and vicious to anybody they don't know. I pitty the poor bastard that tries to get in our house while we are asleep or gone.
  6. The guy is a douche bag and I hope your friend broke his fucking nose.
  7. Thanks Boss. Fingers crossed that it all goes well.
  8. Sorry, I thought this was your apartment building.
  9. Failing with a digital camera isn't really failing. When I first got into photography in the late 70's fails cost money, and continued to until digital came around in the 90's. I still have boxes full of pictures that were nothing but experiments, but there were just enough successes to keep me going. I used to love taking my 35mm out and doing timed and multiple exposures with a tri-pod. Sunrise is difficult to capture perfectly without some experimenting. Yes you overexposed but it still is a cool little video. Watch the sky over the next couple of evenings at sunset. These partially cloudy skies we'll have over the next 2-3 days might produce some outstanding sunsets if you time it right. Of course that means a trip someplace high or near the coast.
  10. Well done Lead, that's a beauty. So there are lakes in the LA area that aren't too far from downtown? The last time I fished for bass in SoCal was about 20 years ago at Miramar Lake near San Diego with my dad and brother. Flew down, rented a boat and spent the day watching the "semipro" crowd move about the lake in their $50,000 bass boats snagging bass off of their nests. They literally would motor over with their electric motor until they could see the fish then toss weighted treble hooks right on top of them. We were so pissed we left early and never went back.
  11. I'm too much of a gentleman to say what it is in mixed company. Let's just say that it's much bigger than yours.
  12. If not, perhaps this how-to video will help. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E-bnhrFnVcY
  13. I can see that working to disrupt the flames but what about embers? I would think something to physically suffocate any hot spots would still be needed. Still pretty cool stuff.
  14. That sounds like a description of my wife.
  15. Women shouldn't give automotive advice just like men shouldn't give relationship advice.
  16. Welcome to the wonderful world of having a significant other. If I didn't have the oil changed on my daughter's and wife's cars, they would do the same thing. About 10 years ago my wife said the Expedition was making some funny noise and when I checked the oil it was over 4 quarts low and she had been ignoring the "idiot" light on the dash. Ever since I've been doing it when needed.
  17. Mo and Bailey, our current shit disturbers. Ozzy, Belle and Reggie. All are gone now but live on in our hearts. Belle as a puppy
  18. TBB as much as I enjoyed Robin Williams and miss him being around, he didn't write that. It's been floating around for years and the only line in it attributable to Robin is the statue of liberty joke at the end, the rest was done by some unknown person. I agree and enjoyed reading the message, but he was a born and bred progressive/liberal and about half the stuff in there went against most of what he believed in. http://www.snopes.com/politics/soapbox/williams.asp
  19. I haven't listened to them since Brad Delp died, and not sure if I want to. It's difficult hearing the classics with a different singer.
  20. Great video Jon. They used to put on concerts here at the Oakland Coliseum called Day on the Green and I went to several of them. In 1979 I saw Boston at a DOTG concert with Sammy Hagar and Eddie Money.
  21. . https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aP_Z3s8Zas0 Took my daughter to the beach last weekend and spent 20 minutes stuck in the middle of a mile long WWII era one lane tunnel because the traffic was backed up. Out of sheer boredom I rolled all of the windows down and cranked up my stereo with Boston Forepolay/Long-Time. People got out of their cars and were dancing. It was fun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7HuLpztWyFA
  22. Great post Johnny. Just to give you an idea how things have changed in the US, about 3 years ago at a high school here in the SF bay area Hispanic students were celebrating Cinco de Mayo at the high school by proudly wearing clothing with the Mexican flag. When some white students decided to wear clothing with American flags the Hispanic students complained to the school administration that they were being racist, and the white students were ordered to either change their clothing or be sent home. The reasoning by the school was that they feared there would be fighting between the students. The white students not feeling that they were fairly treated decided to sue, and a lower court sided with the school. Yesterday the supreme court also sided with the lower court and the school and wouldn't even hear the appeal. So the Hispanic kids are free to wear clothing with the Mexican flag while living in America, but the white kids aren't free to wear their own flag for fear of offending the immigrant kids. Welcome to the new world order. Here is the story: http://touch.latimes.com/#section/-1/article/p2p-83177409/
  23. Looks like the Huskie needs the food more than the owner does.
  24. Welcome BDS. Now that you are an official clan member don't forget to send out invitations to the XI BBQ you will be having at your house this summer. It's a new rule we just started, today. PS: I like lobster with my steak and ribs!
