  1. Has the source of your tapwater been polluted by hormones? I never drink unfiltered and unboiled tapwater and buy bottled water. My main reason is that I dislike the smell and taste of chlorine that is used to purify the water. I would rather take my chances with the bacteria (natural) than the chemicals and hormones (unnatural). Spring water hasn't already been consumed and excreted by another human... http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2012/jun/02/water-system-toxic-contraceptive-pill
  2. Yes @Sonovabich we are playing Chile and Germany in November friendlies (15th and 19th IIRC). I would refer my honourable friend @Unchileno to the result in February when the Brazilians came to play. We beat them 2-1 so should manage an extra goal or two against your lot... http://wembleystadium.com/Events/2013/England-v-Brazil/England-v-Brazil
  3. Just a quick suggestion. Before the postman brings your game disc for installation, don't forget to update your video drivers to the latest version. Mine were only 14 months out of date...
  4. Fallen NZ heroes receive traditional honours:
  5. @ Sonovabich Guy Fawkes Night is an established English tradition involving explosives so count me in favour! As a devout Royalist, I have no time for the treasonous and telling the story of what happened to Fawkes the terrorist contributes to children's education.
  6. Its origins are in the Roman Catholic Church but Henry VIII and subsequent Puritans didn't observe All Hallows Eve or All Saints Day (1 November). Thirty to forty years ago, in this country, it was barely spoken of. As a child I never dressed up and disturbed old people to demand sweets (candy) - none of us did. The religious roots are now forgotten and what is left is a secular ghoul-fest without any meaning that coincides with Samhain, a pagan festival. It makes a lot of money for some people and that is, I think, why it is promoted by the big supermarkets etc. It encourages anti-social behaviour - our police have to mount extra patrols and issue advice to residents in advance of it!
  7. No, SOB, that is for the free Prima eGuide to BF4. They sent me one also.
  8. British comic actor Graham Stark, best known for his recurring roles opposite Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther films, has died aged 91. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-24741605

  14. Brave members of our Armed Forces have laid down their lives to preserve our way of life in conflicts old and new On 11 November, Remembrance Day, we honour their sacrifice and remember them. A charitable collection, known in the UK, Canada and, perhaps, elsewhere, as The Poppy Appeal is in aid of those ex-service personnel and their families who are in need of support. This single is to be released as part of the fund-raising effort, this year. I trust my response addresses your ignorance.
  15. I detest anything and everything connected with Halloween. It is the most unwelcome American import into this country, even considering the muck McDonalds serves up. Fortunately, local children refrained from knocking on my door last year and I trust they will exercise such sound judgment this year. I fail to understand why people consider it attractive, wholesome or beneficial...
  16. We don't need no stinkin' Halloween maps... You can stick your stinkin' Halloween... Pumpkins? I got given beer with pumpkin in it tonight! You can stick that as well...stinkin' stuff! And as for stinkin' trick or stinkin' treat... Stuff that stinkin' stuff too! I thought McDonalds was an unwelcome American import till all this Halloween cr*p started! I'd say flush the pumpkins down the toilet with the McDonalds cr*p but then the sewers would be blocked and everything would be stinkin'. Let's declare COD5 a stinkin' Halloween-free zone!
  17. In support of the Royal British Legion's Poppy Appeal, The Poppy Girls release their single on 11 November. They are daughters of service personnel. Please buy the single and support the RBL!
  18. I just pre-ordered it; Amazon UK price now back down to £30.99 and free first class postage for delivery on release date!
  19. She flies like a bird!
  20. @Mazdarati Come over to England and @Markoff will sing this to you...
