  1. This is a prank I think is both inventive and very clever in its execution. How can the "victim" fail to be impressed?! Good job, New Zealand pranksters! LMAO! http://metro.co.uk/2013/09/17/beer-on-tap-man-finds-entire-house-rigged-with-beer-in-epic-prank-4038455/
  2. They're funny folk up the coast from here! http://metro.co.uk/2013/09/17/toothless-man-guilty-of-biting-neighbours-penis-in-row-over-loud-music-4037437/
  3. Tribute to some fine European composers and performers...
  4. Great news! Heal well!
  5. Approaching the half-century mark! Happy Birthday, mate, and sorry I'm nowhere near the Midlands currently so can't buy you a beer.
  6. Pink, may I add my congratulations and also thanks for taking this position on.
  7. Some news you may have missed... This strangely-named gentleman was arrested last month for marijuana possession and other things. He's been in and out of mental institutions and has been diagnosed with schizophrenia so please don't think I'm holding this ill fellow up to ridicule. His name is probably the most unusual I have ever seen! Full article: http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2013/08/20/beezow-doo-doo-zopittybop-bop-bop/2675263/
  8. "The number one problem facing mental health services"! There are none so blind as those who will not see... Don't encourage others to use this s**t as you may be condemning them to the hell of schizophrenia. http://www.schizophrenia.com/research/cannabis.htm
  9. Pleased the sun shone for you. Long life and happiness together!
  10. Today we remember the courage of those pilots from the UK and Commonwealth who defeated the Luftwaffe and so prevented the invasion of these islands by the Nazis when we stood alone against them. The average age of these pilots was 20. As Churchill said... In the first of the following newsreels, Canadian pilots get ready for action.
  11. Poor old Carl - one of his books is among my favourites. Pity the drug habit didn't enhance his health as he left us aged 62. Oddly, I can't foresee dope saving the world. It may turn an increasing number psychotic, however.
  12. If anyone ever asks you, "How wide is sanity?", you can now tell 'em... Oh boy, am I in trouble now...
  13. New York Jets fan, apparently... http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=0ee_1378819528

  15. Oh, Bonzo Dog! Such fun! I did rather like their song about that farm...
  16. COD was poisoned irrevocably by Black Ops. Some will suggest a difference between Treyarch and Infinity Ward but that matters nought. The damage is done. The publisher and its shi**y attitude towards the customer endures. Battlefield is the future.
  17. Up yours @@djMot you sceptic! I won, last Sunday, haha! Still thinking about how I'll spend my £2.50 (US$ 3.97)!
  18. It probably was but his first wasn't. Wikipedia says, "After jobs as a bus conductor, a building labourer and a tax officer, he attended Northern Counties College of Education, from 1971 to 1974 and qualified as a teacher".
  19. Not with a cork like that, Johnny. Sparkling wine and champagne bottle corks are always wired onto the bottle and eased off with ones thumbs after the wire cap is removed.
  20. Just published - as you can see, those detailed by the OP have been varied:
  21. 500 years ago today, the invading Scottish army was defeated and slaughtered at the Battle of Flodden Field by Queen Catherine of Aragon's English forces. Her husband, the then-Catholic Henry VIII, had been invited by the Pope to attack France and thus relieve pressure on Italy with whom the latter was at war. France was a close ally of Scotland so Scottish King James IV crossed the English border with his conscript army. 15000 soldiers died in 2.5 hours. This level of carnage was not to be repeated until The Great War of 1914-18. King James himself was hacked to death. An act of remembrance has been conducted today at the site of the battle and we can only reflect on how different the history of these islands would have been had James won the day. I gather that the special relationship between France and Scotland endures so whilst Mr Kerry may refer to France being the USA's oldest ally, the USA certainly is not that of France. England's oldest ally is Portugal (Treaty of Windsor, 1386). Full article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/0/23795766
