That the issue no med insurance, and short of being paralyzed from the waste down most E.R. "Don't have the Space..." when you don't have insurance, while I know they are not supposed to, they do.
If you feel like you need a Doc to look at u dont go to the ER, find a doc that knows about back pains,if you dont have a family doc find one a friend uses and make an appointment and let them know you have no insurance, most the time you see the cost will be much smaller then a ER visit. Just last year i got a small metal sliver in me eye and found a eye doc and made an appointment, had to wait 2 hours, but he pull the piece of metal out and charged me $95.00, with a 2nd visit to make sure all was good, the doc told me if i went to ER it would of cost around $600 or more.
