  1. Thanks all.  I was able to get it working.  I had to reinstall cod4 from steam and then replaced it all with the old cod folder I found.  I had to change out the iw3mp but the folder had the pb files and the maps.  I also had a problem that it would start the MP version and then stop but that was fixed by putting in my head set.  Big shout out to @Cylon and @loaderXI for the help.

I do think it would be helpful if we had a place we could download the ver 7 of the iw3mp.exe file as well as the legacy pb incase someone has to do a complete new download.  Also should make a note about the sound card that can stop the program from opening which is a old and known issue.

thanks again and will see you in game soon.

  2. Hi all:

I had to reformat my hard drive and downloaded COD4 from steam.  I found and replaced the iw3mp.exe from version 1.8 to 1.7 but I can't find out out to add punkbuster to my folders.  I saw an old video on the forums but it referred to a "download" section on this site and I don't see that any more.  And the links referencing the punkbuster legacy either don't work or I don't have access.

    Can anyone help?

    thanks.

  3. I'm in SoCal and there aren't any places that will rent the Rocket - at least that is what I have found so far.  I have rented the Indian (uhm I mean the indigenous people of the land now referred to by the invaders as America) (I am trying to out PC Rob).  I have ridden the Bobber and the Bobber Twenty and the regular Scout.  By the time I get the Bobber to be how I want it kitted out, it will be close to the price of the Rocket.  I currently have a KTM dual sport bc I am next to the forest but looking to get a nice street cruiser.

I test drove the Rocket and they put it in baby mode for me haha.  I wonder how it will be in Sport.

  4. I get it now @RobMc.  I was more thinking about sales people rather than the Thai workers on the line making and assembling parts 🙂    I wonder if its a good thing or a bad thing that they are made in Thailand - I had an old Land Rover and an MG before 🙂

I was torn between the Rocket and an Indian but was looking for sales advice.

BTW, my German car is made in Alabama and ever since I got it, I like Bratwurst with collard greens and sweet tea for some reason.  With the Triumph, maybe I can learn to like Fish & Chips Pad Thai.

  5. @RANDALL there is a lot of misinformation on here from a legal perspective such as whether you can shoot someone outside your house vs inside and that you can't shoot someone that is running away (you can if they are still shooting at you and still a threat provided you are acting as a reasonable and prudent person in like or similar circumstances, etc etc.).  Also many of the shotguns shown here may not be legal in NJ because of size or capacity.  So you do need to check state law.  Lastly and most importantly, if you are serious about this, I would highly recommend getting insurance.  I use USCCA but there are others.  Just to defend yourself from criminal and potentially civil litigation could ruin you financially.  Get the shotgun to protect your life and the insurance to protect your finances.
