Lets not place blame solely on the media. Its society that has nutured this type of behaviour. We dont glorify these individuals, thier notoriety is gained by a negative experience, better known as Infamy... I perfect example is when we all pass a car wreck on the highway... We all slow down to look. We know its wrong but we do anyway.. and there is no camera for us to blame is there...

Its a good post but I have one issue!.. You do not need a "conceiled weapon" to tacke or provent someone with the intent to do harm to others. I worked in a major hospital in the US and one evening we had a high crackhead enter with a gun and knife. I watched and tried my best to help as a young intern talked him down from shooting up the ER. When your faced with a situation you just react, and you do what comes by instinct. I give the intern all the credit for he did most of the talking and neither of us wanted any spotlight or to be seen as a hero. Hell, that was my one and only experience, I cant imagine what Police and first responders have to do. My point is, u dont need a gun to be a hero.
