Like the commercial on TV for Cialis or Viagra - if you have an erection for more than four hours - seek medical help Fuck that - if I have a stiffy for more than 4 hours I am going to declare myself a minor God!!!!! -
Who do the XI members prefer Big or Skinny
NickTheGrip replied to 3rdCdnInfty's topic in General Discussion
Seriously While what is inside (the heart, spirit, attitude, personlilty and such - not what you pervs are all thinking) is what matters most, I do prefer a woman with meat on her bones. to quote Latrell from "White Chicks" - a little cushion for the pushin Not fat mind you but I really don't like the skin and bone, herion addict look that most supermodels seem to have these days. Then again, like my dad always said - beauty is only a light switch away - LOL -

I kind of think women are like Pizza. Even the worst pizza you ever had was pretty good!!! -
Primal, I really haven't had a chance to get to know you, but I know the loss of a child is one of the most emotionally heart wrenching things that can happen to anyone. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. If there is anything I can do to help, do not hesitate to let me know. After all we are all family here and the loss of someone close to one of us is felt by all My deepest sympathies and condolences.

It could be worse. You could be a Michigan fan like me. I already know we have lost tomorrow before we even take the field. The only thing undecided is how many touchdowns we lose by (5,6 or 7)!!!!!! Sorry to see a premier team collapse like that - that's not like a Saban team to fold like a used set of Vegas cards, especially to such a fierce rival. WTF happened to them.

I had the same issue where it would "disconnect" for around 3 seconds then reconnect. I tried everything and in the end I bought a new mouse and the problem went away. I recommend not using a wireless mouse, however, as there are always lag issues (very minor, but there nonetheless) and possible interference from other signal emitters in the house Just my 2 cents

Remember Mal said we can't use words like that any more, although "Post-Lady of the night" just dont have the same ring to it LOL Congrats (I am only congratulating you to bump up my pathetic total, Ha Ha

Heres some interesting facts as to whether humans are really carnivorous as some of us would like to believe, or omnnivores, as most people think: Intestinal tract length. Carnivorous animals have intestinal tracts that are 3-6x their body length, while herbivores have intestinal tracts 10-12x their body length. Human beings have the same intestinal tract ratio as herbivores. Stomach acidity. Carnivores’ stomachs are 20x more acidic than the stomachs of herbivores. Human stomach acidity matches that of herbivores. Saliva. The saliva of carnivores is acidic. The saliva of herbivores is alkaline, which helps pre-digest plant foods. Human saliva is alkaline. Shape of intestines. Carnivore bowels are smooth, shaped like a pipe, so meat passes through quickly — they don’t have bumps or pockets. Herbivore bowels are bumpy and pouch-like with lots of pockets, like a windy mountain road, so plant foods pass through slowly for optimal nutrient absorption. Human bowels have the same characteristics as those of herbivores. Fiber. Carnivores don’t require fiber to help move food through their short and smooth digestive tracts. Herbivores require dietary fiber to move food through their long and bumpy digestive tracts, to prevent the bowels from becoming clogged with rotting food. Humans have the same requirement as herbivores. Cholesterol. Cholesterol is not a problem for a carnivore’s digestive system. A carnivore such as a cat can handle a high-cholesterol diet without negative health consequences. A human cannot. Humans have zero dietary need for cholesterol because our bodies manufacture all we need. Cholesterol is only found in animal foods, never in plant foods. A plant-based diet is by definition cholesterol-free. Claws and teeth. Carnivores have claws, sharp front teeth capable of subduing prey, and no flat molars for chewing. Herbivores have no claws or sharp front teeth capable of subduing prey, but they have flat molars for chewing. Humans have the same characteristics as herbivores. Interesting Facts to be sure and gives you something to think about. Having said that, I love a hamburger as much as the next guy, but I eat almost no meat anymore for other reasons than personal choice (health)

Actually Win 7 has a partition managing tool built right into it, unlike previous versions of windows. Heres a step by step, but beware, any messing with partitions has the risk of loss of data. I would invest in an external drive and make images of your drives prior to starting. I picked up a 1.5TB drive for only $125 a couple of months ago and it has been a god send. http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/resize-a-partition-for-free-in-windows-vista/ good luck

To all my XI family: I just thought I would pass thison in case anyone else is having the same or similar issues with their computer I know I am not the only personwho had this issue as Lt. Laszlo also had it My “gaming rig” is about 6 yearsold and is a bit of a dog, I have upgraded it as far as it will go but limitedfunds have prevented me from getting a replacement. The original OS was Vista 32 bit Home version which was ok, but nothing towrite home about. Recently I loaded Windows 7 – 64 bit Ultimate onto the unitand at first it seemed great. The computer ran well. All the games and mapsseemed smooth and I almost never had any “freeze” issues like I had with Vista. About a month or so ago I startedto have problems on a couple of maps, primarily the ones created by Dawgy andPhrog (Desert Idiot and MP Town are the ones in question) Whenever I would playthem I would have horrendous lag issues, with my ping running from mid 40’s toupwards of 600-700 and back again. The game-play was extremely jerky and, even weirderwas that, if I stood close to the edge of the map, my ping would shoot upagain. Even on other maps, this was the same. Glamorgan was another one where,if I crouched at the top of one of the hills, my ping would shoot off thecharts. It also seemed to be getting worse and to the point of totalfrustration that would make me simply give up and stop playing. I thought it was my connection;however I have a 16 Mb up/4 Mb down cable connections, with a Cisco/LinksysE3000 wireless-N router to which I am hard cabled with a Gigabit Ethernet cardso I was convinced it was not my connection. Then my, soon to be, ex-wifedecided to trash my gaming rig due to perceived excessive gaming hours(whatever) and I was forced to temporarily use my company laptop which, while akick-ass laptop, is not permitted to have gaming software on it, so I had to “hack”around that restriction. Lo and behold all the maps ran fine so my entirenetwork and connection was eliminated as a source of trouble. While I was rebuilding my desktopwith cobbled up parts and left-over parts from work I decided to load XP Pro onthe system which turned out to be a major challenge in itself (RAID problems, memory issues, no drivers etc) Now the strange part – My systemhas never run so good and EVERY map is as smooth as glass, including the greatmaps that the XI peeps have made. My connection is consistently in the 30-35msrange and I am back to being able to be competitive again so the problem had toreside in Windows 7 I was wondering if anyone elsehas seen the same issue or, if you are, perhaps mine, and Laz’s experience canhelp.

Greywolf I have a legit copy of XP Pro you can have for free. It is a VL copy with around 1,000 copies still left on it and doesn't require activation. No it is not a pirate or bootleg. The IT guy at my employer gave it to me and said "have at it" as we are moving over to 7 and he would simply be throwing it in the garbage when he is done. I am not sure if you consider that legit or not. Let me know if you are interested or not.

Only if you set her fat ass on fire - LOL -
LMFAO Czech Hey if the Mets can win it, then the Red Wings certainly can
-
Look at the Lions schedule, they have an excellent chance to be 0-4 when they get to the first really "winnable" game against St Louis - I am already fed up with this NFL season and it is only 1 fucking day old!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These are my predictions, based on what happened yesterday (from a fan who has supported them since he arrived here in '98, and lived through the "Glory years" of Wayne Fontes - ha ha ha) - based on 14 yards of total offense in the 2nd half, lost starting QB for at least 4-5 weeks, etc etc etc @ Bears - L (of course) Eagles - L @ Vikings - L @ Packers - L Rams - W @ Giants - L BYE - Hey we can't lose this one, can we refs?..can we? Redskins - L Jets - L @ Bills - W @ Cowboys - L Patriots - L Bears - W Packers - L @ Bucaneers - hmmmmmmm, can't say which team is worse, I will go with the home team - L Dolphins - W Vikings - L For a grand total of 4-12 - hey not a bad season for the Lions, perhaps by 2018 we will have progressed to 8-8 - can't wait for some refreshing mediocrity. And that's being optimistic, we could easily go 0-16 again. All I can say is GO WINGS!!!!!!!!!!
-
At least the Colts and RAvens actually have a chance. Well we all know the Lions won't make it - they can't even win when they win, like today - robbed by one of the dumbest rules in football!!! Good thing us Lions fans don't expect anything each year - that way we are never disappointed - roll on Hockey.
-
Like Laszlo and everyone else said, welcome. It's good to see yet another Detroiter in the servers, although you are damned hard to kill sometimes (sometimes!!!!) Working in the auto industry like us, serious stress relief is a requirement to getting through the week. See you on line and "be gentle!!!!!!!"

COD 2 & Windows 7
NickTheGrip replied to LiquidStool's topic in Call of Duty 2's Call Of Duty 2 Discussion
I run 7 Ultimate 64-bit on a computer that is 2 years old and it runs great (the only other upgrade with 8GB RAM and a 1/2 decent graphics card) I had the issue with the settings reverting and what I stumbled on is, and don't ask me why, when I started COD2 with XFire on, my setting reverted. When I start without XFire on - no problem, so XFire is off all the time. Sorry, I know we are supposed to have XFire on, but having to input all my settings over and over just sucks the joy out of playing -
What happened???
NickTheGrip replied to LtLaszlo's topic in Call of Duty 2's Call Of Duty 2 Discussion
The only issue I had tonight was that I had to download a file that the XI Downloader did not automatically update After that I could connect with no issue (the updater did D/L two files but "mp_mtown.iwd" did not for some strange reason) No "black screen" here tho (I know, no help whatsoever)
