We've had a member leave, possibly over a comment he made in one of the appeals threads. We've had this problem of folks commenting on appeals threads for some time. The way to fix it is to remove appeals from the public forums. An appeal should be a communication between someone who has been banned, and the admin team. The rest of the clan needn't be inolved in what in effect is a personal matter. You might create a new "member" of XI named "Appeal Ban" that anyone who has been banned can then send a PM to. All of the appeals would go to that "user." One of the admin can monitor those messages and copy any appeals to an appeals thread on the the admin forum for discussion/resolution. Or, just appoint an admin in charge of appeals and make clear that all appeals are to be in the form of a PM to that admin. Perhaps others have ideas on how to better handle appeals....??

There are times when members we've come to know well find it necessary to leave gaming and/or the computer for a time to focus on life and family. And I appreciate it when those folks take the trouble to tell us they need to leave the clan - or take an extended absence - because of issues like that. But I could give a rat's ass when when a clan member leaves because of some nebulous personal issue with someone - if that's what this is - that he or she doesn't want to take through established channels here to resolve. For all practical purposes, that's saying to the clan that it, or someone in it, has fucked with me so I'm going to take my toys and go home. Just go and be done with it. Why post about it? Are you looking for sympathy? You get none from me in situations like this.

You know the type: every time they shoot you they challenge your ability; when they win a map they verbally masturbate themselves. Had one such in COD5 Modern Weapons the other day. I never said word, and proceeded to kick his ass in the next map, which shut him up somewhat. But he came right back to it and after a bit, I left. Players are certainly free to say pretty much whatever they like on our servers, but this is just a reminder to those who like to boast and gloat, that most of us anyway are here for the fun, and the comradery. A player who isn't interested in talking with you, only at you, is a bore, and can ruin the experience. It's great that you have skills. It's also obvious when you consistently win the maps, so you needn't constantly remind us that you're God's gift to gaming. Tone it down, please, so we may all enjoy. And why not play WITH us? Believe me, you'll enjoy it more, and so will we. Best way to do that is offer compliments to a good shot, a good player. Best way to make enemies rather than friends is to continually compliment yourself.

Older you get, the less you need your nuts. So don't sweat the numbness. Have a GREAT one!!!
