I wasn't going to respond to this, but I can't help myself. Here we have five pages of Idiots wishing Zoe and Brotinde all the best. Obviously, they have many friends here and are highly respected. Yet, they have made a decision to leave this community, apparently (I'm just guessing here - I don't know the details; and if I'm wrong, I apologize) because of a problem with just one or two members. Why would you walk away from a large group of friends because one or two of them have pissed you off? Would you walk away from your family - your real family - because of one or two bad apples? No, you walk away from the bad apples, and keep your family intact. I am offended when long-time XI members leave this clan and a bunch of their friends only because of a personal problem with a few. In effect, we're being told that because one or two of us have given offense, that all of us can go to hell, that all of us are being cast out. It seems like an immature decision to me, and a hurtful one. It seems like there was not a real and deep commitment to the folks who make up this clan. I get pissed on occasion too, but I would never leave XI because of that.

Hate to do it Chile. It's a damned shame that we can't get more slots - I've asked, as have others before me I'm sure - but they won't budge because they think too many members uses too many resources - a ridiculous position since it would say that total Xfire worldwide usage must be limited for some reason. In any event, whenever the list of members nears 300, I go through the entire roster and delete those who haven't accessed in 30 days. Some come back and use Xfire, most do not, which opens the door to those who want to use it. But at some point - and it will come soon - we're going to have 300 folks using the clan Xfire regularly, and then we'll have a waiting list to get in. Hopefully, we'll have some alternatives by then.

Twenty members of XI Xfire who have not accessed Xfire in 30 days, or have elected to hide their private data (it must be open so that we can check use) have been removed. If you're one of them, please reapply from your profile page (members removed for hiding private data should correct that in their settings) and you'll be immediately reinstated. Just as it is a requirement that members visit the web site at least once monthly, you must also use Xfire monthly, or you'll be removed so that others may do so - we are allowed only 300 Xfire slots but have well over 400 clan members. I used to do something like that every Halloween. I'd set up speakers on the porch and when the little boogers knocked on the door, I'd hit 'em with some screams, etc. One day, a little boy jumped off the porch running, fell down and broke his glasses (which of course I paid for.) That was the end of that.

My 'puter room is missing something: an XI poster haning on the wall by my Alienware. Can one (or more) of you graphics whizzes design several posters that we can put somewhere on the web site so that members can download one they like and either print it at home to 8 1/2 x 11, or, put on a flash drive and take to Kinko's for a nice 11 x 17 ? It'd be great if one of them was a .jpg with some space near the bottom where we could edit it in Photoshop and ad our name/sig to it. ??
