  1. You said "pretty nice box" Heh heh
  2. Please refrain from shooting me as you did today, as I am XI's firearms safety officer and when on an inspection tour as was the case today, no one should kill me. I am not killing you out of spite or any other reason, but only to check the safeties on various weapons. Good to see you in there - WELCOME!! ;}
  3. Likewise with falvanator. Then again, I'm an idiot.
  4. Nuts. I can't do it.
  5. It is such a tragedy that a sweet little girl like that must leave us. When it happens, it will be the most difficult thing you'll ever deal with and there are few words that can ease this kind of pain. You bear it as best you can, and pray for the strength to endure until time heals this horrible wound - as it will. Your son is young enough that this won't scar him permanently. Thanks for allowing us to share your pain. I hope it helps. Best wishes to you and your family in this terrible time. Harry
  6. You both look like Idiots so you'll fit right in. W_E_L_C_O_M_E

  8. Added a second GeForce 260 GTX and after reboot, enabled SLI, only to go immediately to a black screen with a blinking cursor at top left, requiring a hard reboot - came back up SLI not enabled. Nothing I tried worked. Searched the net to find all manner of suggestions including swapping vid cards, checking bridge, swapping memory, etc. and etc. and etc. and finally found a guy who has solved this. So, if you add a second card, or buy two cards for SLI and have this problem, here's the solution. Open Nvidia Control Panel and set your desktop resolution to 1024x768. Then, enable SLI and the screen will go black, but come right back. Then, reset desktop resolution. I was running an older version of Nforce drivers and getting hard locks in COD with this new setup at highest rez., but upgrading to current drivers seems to have fixed that. And so, this graphic edge, added to my already considerable and renowned skill, leaves me a serious force to be reckoned with. Now, me kill you long time.
  9. Welcome JKM. I assume JKM stands for: Just Kill Me - and I'm happy to oblige.

  13. I have a Dell XPS 630i system with an SLI motherboard. It came with two GeForce 9800s SLI, each of which required a six-pin additional power connector. One of them fried, so I sold both of them to a fellow XIer and put in a GeForce 260 GTX. That card required two, six-pin power connectors. But I've been getting some stuttering so I thought I'd add another 260 SLI and it arrived today. I checked the power specs and my 750W PSU should easily handle it. However, when I went to install it, I found I do NOT have two additional six-pin connectors in the system. I only have two in total, and they're both plugged into the first 260. Questions: - Can I simply put a splitter on each of the 6-pin connectors so that one six-pin connector is going to each card, but is split to feed both 6-pin inputs on each card? Or, will this starve each card of power. - Or, can one purchase a set of replacement cables that might plug into my current power supply that would have four six-pin connectors? (I've never dicked with power supplies so maybe this is a stupid question and you can't replace the cabling.) - Or, do I have to buy another power supply that has four six-pin connectors and if so, can anyone recommend one?
  14. How do. But don't be playing that sissy crap. Be a man; be all you can be; get your arse to COD2, 4, or 5 DM where's it's not a game, it's reality.
  15. I will cut your balls off with a rusty linoleum knife. Be warned, and conduct yourself accordingly.
  16. You guys have got to cut back on the bubbly weekdays.
  17. I'm on it like stink on shit.
  18. Been running a GeForce 260 GTC Overclock Maxcore since last fall at pretty good rez, but still get some stuttering in COD4 and 5. Goes away if I drop the resolution but it's just too pretty cranked up. So I ordered another 260 for SLI. They don't come with the connector and those Nvidia SLI connectors are around $100 - total ripoff considering what they're made of. But I found one at Amazon that originally sold for $113, and they only wanted $9. Couldn't believe it. Cpl. weeks I should have no more problems.
  19. Greetings upon you fellow Idiots but always remember that as I am a direct descendant of Edward I Longshanks, King of England (no shit) I am the only recognized royalty in this clan and you are required to bow and kiss my feet (or whatever might approximate such behavior) when you first encounter me in any map. I hath spoken. Let it be done!!!
