Due to the lawsuit filed against Extreme Idiots by the American Civil Liberties Union, XI is accepting suggestions from members to rename the clan. The ACLU filed suit aginst Xtreme Idiots in the Superior Court for the District of Wisconsin, alleging that by its name, XI is "engaged in a deliberate attempt to violate the civil rights of mentally deficient Americans who suffer idiocy not by their own choosing, and do not deserve to be denegrated by a gaming clan." The ACLU said Xtreme Idiots "brings embarassment to citizens who are victims of inbreeding, were dropped on their heads as infants, who are the product of mothers who used illegal substancies during their pregnancies, or are the result of a society in which government encourages and rewards persons with substandard intelligence to reproduce." The suit claims that by its very name, XI "insults and demeans these retarded Americans and causes them further mental anguish." ACLU demands that XI change its name "to something less offensive." Staff attorney Loof Lirpa commented, "We fully understand that members of this particular gaming clan are apparently mentally challenged to some degree or other, but they must immediately change their name, or face the consequences of their actions." With the explanations provided, my response would be to thank everyone for their incredible efforts to get the server cleaned up. These guys are putting a lot of time in and they sure as hell aren't getting paid for it. They don't deserve to be slapped for it. I understand your frustrations SoothSayer but my general response to someone who is unhappy here is to suggest they move on.

I've got much better hacks: - Cloak of Invisibility Hack (you can't see me) - Mixican Jumping Bean Hack (I constantly jump and down so you can't hit me.) - Piss My Pants Hack (Makes the area around me slippery so you fall down if you chase me) - Time Warp Hack (I move backwards in time to before you shoot me so I can shoot you before you shoot me.) Yo Hxtr: Thanks, but further reading at the link demonstrates the issues that can develop when you start disabling services: Update: doing this will likely induce audio issues such as crackling, popping, stuttering, and skipping. My final solution was to leave this service enabled but disable it's network throttling component (if you already did the first fix you should undo it and re-enable the service). This resolved my audio issues caused by disabling the MMCS while keeping my games lag free. This is not a solution if you are not experiencing network issues. If you are experiencing audio issues only, you should make sure the MMCSS is running. The best way to test if you have this problem is to disable your sound device in Device Manager and then see if the lag persists. If it does, you have some other issue. If the lag goes away, re-enable your sound device and try the following fix: Quote: Leave the multimedia class scheduler service running, but disable its network throttling "feature": * Open regedit * Go to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Multimedia\SystemProfile * There will be an entry for network performance throttling, default value is 10; set it to FFFFFFFF hex (willl look like 0xFFFFFFFF to the right of the entry) * Reboot

From Blues's News: Reports are surfacing with purported details on the upcoming seventh installment in Activision's Call of Duty series of military first-person shooters, long rumored to be set in Vietnam. The game will reportedly be set between World War II and the present day and will carry the title Call of Duty: Black Ops, with some missions played from the side of Britain's SAS. Metro.co.uk (thanks Joker961) has a story about this saying: "The Treyarch-developed shooter is rumoured to take gamers across the planet, including missions set in Cuba and South America, according to Call of Duty website experts Tek9, who have talked to 'undisclosed sources at Activision'," though we can't actually find this on TEK9, and Computer and Video Games has a similar report attributed to "undisclosed sources at Activision" via mapmodnews.com, which is down at the moment. Computer and Video Games also says these reports indicate the game is to have dedicated server support, which was absent from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, much to the unhappiness of PC gamers.

COD7 may be released as soon as October, reports VG247, which has a list of Xbox 360 release dates from UK retailer GAME.
