Bonjour Olive: You wrote that controlling immigration is importantant. Americans think so to, but the problem is not with immigration, which is the legal process by which someone takes up residence in your country and in time, becomes a naturalized citizen. America remains the most generouos nation in the world for legal immigrants. The issue here is illegal immigrants. You suggest helping them in their own country. First, they need to help themselves. If you're speaking of Mexican citizens, their country is absolutely corrupt and the citizenry needs to do what Americans did in 1776. Otherwise, I'm not interested in spending one thin dime of taxpayer money in foreign aid to any nation. Most foreign aid is stolen; all of it is wasted. If a nation needs help, America always has been first in line but foreign aid ought to be replaced by a system of loans and purchases. We taxpayers will give you our money, provided we get something for it. But your labeling the Arizona law as racist... "controlling people because of their appearance; the color of their skins; because they speak Spanish..." is absurd. It is nothing of the sort. Please do the research before you post such nonsence. Essentially, it says Arizona police, when otherwise legally engaged with someone (as through a traffic stop for instance) may then ascertain if the person is illegal. How do they do that? They ask for identification - just as they ask any citizen for ID in a traffic stop. If the person doesn't have it, or, it appears bogus, they'll check further - just as they would for any American citizen. That's it. OK? Your comparison to Nazi Germany is ridiculous. I'm also a student of history. Tell me how an American state enforcing laws already on the books has anything to do with persecution of Jews in a previous century. Arizona is taking this action because the federal government won't enforce those existing laws. Why? Purely for political reasons - to buy votes. Let's hope Texas follows suit, and then New Mexico, etc.

Activision Publishing announces Call of Duty: Black Ops, saying the next installment in the Call of Duty series is in development at Treyarch and will launch on November 9, 2010. Of course we should profile, at airports, for instance. Not all Muslims are terrorists, but all terrorists are Muslims so why the hell are we strip-searching grandma? As to the illegal immigrant problem, there's an easy and relatively inexpensive fix. Issue biometric ID cards to all U.S. citizens - include your driver's license info on it as well. Without one, you cannot fly, interact with a bank, obtain employment, secure medical, educational or any other gov't services, buy a house, rent, etc. etc. At the same time, make it a felony for anyone to offer such services or otherwise engage anyone who does not possess such a card. Unable to work or function in this country, illegal immigrants will migrate back to where they came from - we don't even have to round them up and put them on buses, etc. This also will create huge employment opportunities for out-of-work Americans. Employers will be forced to pay a living wage to Americans, instead of off-the-clock, below-min. wage to illegals, or (as they should) go out of business. This bullshit about illegals doing jobs American's won't is true only because Americans won't pick cabbage for $2 an hour. But they sure as hell will for $10 an hour.

Fellow Idiots: You may not be aware that Xfire limits our clan membership to 300. Since we were nearing that limit, 24 XI clan members who have not used Xfire in at least 35 days were kicked from the clan Xfire list today. Just as you are subject to removal from the clan if you don't visit the web site at least once monthly, you also are subject to being kicked from the clan's Xfire list if you don't use Xfire for 30 days or more. We'd like to just leave you on the list, but because of the limit, members who don't use Xfire deny access to those who wish to - every new clan member is offered membership to the clan's Xfire list and has 15 days to accept, or the invitation is withdrawn. Also today, seven members who have elected to hide their private data on their Xfire page were notified to open it with 14 days or they will be kicked. We appreciate their desire for privacy, however, the only means we have of determining whether members use their Xfire account is to view their profile page. If your private data is hidden, we cannot make that determination. It is a requirement of membership in Clan XI's Xfire that your private data be open. If you were among those members kicked from the clan Xfire today, you may reapply and you'll be immediately reinstated. But please do not so unless you intend to regularly use Xfire, so that you don't deny access to other clan members.
