Its a private owned site with a ULA that nobody reads.  So why are you on this page BTW all you type is public as well. There are pictures of you and you have given up your location on a 3rd party site look out that's all out there now. Really what windows is doing is trying to stay relevant in there industry. What I'm trying to do is have a good OS that's maintained and updated so my network remains safe. I hope that one day they find some piece of info on me that makes me important enough to store. This from what I've read is the last OS windows is going to make. From here its going to be updated for free for ever. I'd even be happy if they went the same route as Apple and charged 25 bucks for the big updates. This is good and people should do the update for there benefit and not worry about the doom Sayers. From your pics, I just can't deal with how crispy SoCal looks these days.  I lived in the Inland Empire for a while as a kid in the late 60s.  It was crispy then, but now it's just toast.

Went backpacking to Henry W. Coe state park here in CA.

I've been trying to figure out what to do about housing here... rent is drying me up and houses here are astronomically priced. (you might be able to find a porta-john in an ally for around $75k)
 
I'm almost definitely going to get something as far out of town as I can find with an 1hr-1.5hr commute. Pleasanton looks like a good candidate.

Came across a few pictures I thought I would share from a few years ago. My wife and I rented a small farm house just a few miles from our home in town as a weekend getaway. We loved it so much that we lived there full time for a couple years and are sorry we're not still there. Lots of critters and beauty out there. About the only downside is no high speed internet.
 
The property around the house was leased by a local cattle ranch and dairy for grazing, so we had many neighbors greeting us in the morning.
 
 

 
 
My wife with her favorite holstein Cane (so named because my wife fed her candy canes). On a stormy night my wife heard a cow moaning out in a field in back of our house. It was pouring rain so she suited up and went out with a flashlight to investigate. This cow was giving birth and it was breech. I went out to see what what going on and my wife was up to her neck in blood and mud pulling the calf out of the mom. Both survived and my wife and the cow were inseparable after that. When the cow saw her it came running.
 

 
 
We put a Finch feeder out hoping to attract a few. It worked too well and they were emptying the feeder every other day.

Well i have finally ditched the point and shoot and bought my self a Nikon D5300,Its a great starter DSLR and not too complicated once you get to know what everything does,which is a whole new learning curve for me.I only have the 18-55mm kit lens at the moment but plan on adding a telephoto and a wide angle lens in the not too distant future.

Success! I took my camera and went for a walk near my office at lunchtime today, and I saw a large hawk on a distant pole. As I approached from a distance, it flew off of it, and towards me. I snapped a few shots of it in flight, then it landed on a pole right in front of my office. I took almost 150 shots as I stood nearby while he perched there for about 20 minutes. Here are 3 chosen more-or-less at random. I have a lot to go through over the coming days!
