  1. Welcome Mad Cow!
  2. When you do get your profile going again, either new or the lost one, try the XI Downloader program the XI team developed as it has a profile backup utility or if you prefer something else, there are programs like Allway Sync. Depending on your needs, consider adding a second hard drive to back your stuff up on to. Good luck.
  3. I had a small hobby of collecting pewter figurines of wizards and I love the James Bond movies, new and old. So together, I've gone with Merlin007 and have since I started with Medal of Honor a decade or so ago.
  4. I use Rainlendar for my desktop calendar and DisplayFusion Pro for dual monitor features such as independant task bars.
  5. Very cool Arrienn.
  6. Welcome to the forums Duck. A good bunch of Idiots here.
  7. Snow blower fueled and ready sir!
  8. Nah... Just an IDIOT! Nice sig. Just finished my new sig today as well.
  9. ?I'm a 49ers fan myself but will have to go with the Steelers on this one.
  10. Well, I am not as quite poetic as my friend Astronomer is but I am sure I can be just as much an 'idiot'. Thanks eh! - Merlin007>XI<
  11. Good day folks. I have been playing on your freeze tag server for a few months now and my friend Deerhunter mentioned to me about posting an introduction here so here I am. A little about myself: I am Canadian, living near London Ontario, happily married with 4 children. Aside some playtime on WaW or just tinkering with computers on my home network, I also play a bit of golf, I am a Leafs fan, and a 49ers Fan. As for the game, I have been playing for about a decade now starting out with the MOHAA classic then into the CoD series. I have come to enjoy playing the freeze tag mod with you all. Always enjoyable and fun when playing online with a good bunch of people. My CoD game name is Merlin007. Cheers -Merlin007
  12. I will note though however, that I did initially create this folder when i was running Vista 32bit or maybe it was with Windows 7 32bit. Can't remember now exactly . Anyway, this folder was in my backup files and got copied over when I installed Windows 7 Pro 64bit. Not sure if this would have made a difference. -Merlin007
  13. This "godmode" folder is nice to have everything in one spot. Have had no issues using on my Windows 7 Pro 64bit system. Works nice. -Merlin007
  14. Excellent. Look forward to seeing what you come up. -Merlin007
  15. Allow user to choose backup location to save to. For myself, my game is installed on the OS drive (C:) and with my simple program, I save a backup of the profile to my d drive. -Merlin007
  16. ph4nt0m Maybe this could be a handy feature to add to the downloader ? After all, it already knows where your profile data is stored from your settings Thoughts anyone? I think it would be a good addition to the downloader Ph4nt0m. Like you said, you are already saving the settings info if someone is installing other than the OS drive and this information is key as profile locations are different if one is not using UAC and/or installed other than the OS drive. A single program to update maps as well as backup and restore user profiles would be handy. If you guys do look at the feasibility of this, I would also include settings to allow for user specified backup locations. -Merlin007
  17. I am running windows 7 pro 64bit with UAC on. Location for the CoD4 players folder is here: C:\Users\#Username#\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare For 32bit, same as above but just as "Program Files" without the (x86). With UAC off, it is as Gump pointed out. I created myself a small utility program to backup and restore my CoD4 and WaW profiles which has come in handy already when I had to reinstall everything to a new drive. Always good to keep a backup. -Merlin007
