I have more internet technicians coming on friday to try fix my packet loss issues so hopefully I can finally start properly playing. The server options EA are offering at the moment are literally no good. They have to offer at least more options to some extend that 3rd party programs had for the PC. The current server rent program is something like the BF3/BF4 console rent program. Seems like one of those trends recently with new games coming out , the developers are tending to make the console and pc experience equal in nearly every way.

Hi, It was me who banned you during that game. I was spectating you at the time and your gameplay came across to me quite suspiciously especially on a map like peak where most people struggle. Seems there was a recent windows 10 update that allowed group policies for the pro edition. Windows 10 enterprise was the only version that could manage group policlies and I have tried it out myself. But what the title of this topic is " Take Back Full Control of Windows 10 Updates", I find wrong because microsoft will still update your windows. Recent Microsoft software terms and conditions now state that basically when there is a new update for one of their products that your PC must install windows updates. It happened to me on Windows 8.1 when I installed windows movie maker (Yes I know its a piece of shit) but next minute you know theres over 20+ windows updates installed even though I had them disabled. Later when reading through their T&C's it was in their writing saying you basically agree to downloading this microsoft program and if you do so you agree to microsofts windows updates. (Within those terms) With that said Windows 10 comes preinstalled with alot of windows 10 software such as skype so good luck with your windows updates

I have been having packet loss ever since game release, which has been so bad that I literally cant play without my ping randomly sky rocking or rubber banding. I had to manually configure the ports required for BF1 and the problems still occurred. I ran a trace route to the EA servers and it turned out there is a fault in my network regarding the packet loss. My ISP are sending out technicians on Friday to fix the problem as it is an underground line issue. For anyone experiencing packet loss or just bad latency at times check to see if these ports are open on your router: Ports for Battlefield 1 UDP - 3659, 14000-14016, 22990-23006, 25200-25300 TCP - 80, 443, 5222, 9988, 17502, 20000-20100, 22990, 42127

No disrespect man.....but why are you still lurking around XI forums? You don't even play on XI servers (you used to) but like wtf ? You joined another clan/group of friends(former XI members).... but like no one cares about that straight out. And your clan/community more than likely wont get a BF1 server themselves so it probably explains why your writing on our forums., hoping for XI to get one so you can play on. I'll say no more....

We could implement a ping limit on the servers but since it is a source engine based game it would unfortunately have bad consequences. When you join any server on any source game and check your ping straight after joining it would be normally between 250-300 and it eventually calms down to its normal ping after a few seconds. Also even when you tab out of game and come back your ping would be extremely high for a few seconds. I know what you mean with just normal people playing with high pings but if we did implement a ping limit people would be randomly getting kicked for even coming back after tabbing out of game. Insurgency is still running on a 12 year old game engine which doesn't help with the fact either. Luckily next year they are bringing out a new Insurgency on a much better game engine which is something to definitely to keep eye on

I installed the patch last night and I am only getting like 45 fps max at low settings , they screwed up the patch. I am still waiting for the game to be properly fixed before continuing to play

Knowing its EA thats controlling the servers this time I cant see it being cheap either

I have played the game and its currently locked at 30fps. You literally get a headache playing it after 10 minutes on those frames. I have had 1 or 2 crashes also. The devs have said the following shortly before release: We know how important having options that best suit your PC’s performance capabilities are. The team has been hard at work ensuring that Mafia III’s performance is consistent across all platforms, and right now the game runs at a solid 30 frames-per-second. We are currently working on an update for PC that will give players the option to play Mafia III at higher framerates Then within the last few minutes said: UPDATE [10/6 / 6PM PT]: We currently have a patch running here at the studio that includes 30, 60, and unlimited frames-per-second options in the video menu, among other improvements for the PC version of Mafia III. We’re verifying the patch now to ensure everything is working as expected. If everything goes well, we expect the update to go live this weekend. We will be keeping the PC community up-to-date on the status of the patch throughout the weekend and thank you for all the feedback! I am literally just going to wait for that new patch. Its hard enough trying to play the game at 30fps. In it's current state until the new patch it isn't worth purchasing for the time being

Fuck it I just bought it there , the game is 50gb and theres a pre load option with it, so I suppose its better to have to ready to play when its released at midnight. Anyway I cant wait for it, looks amazing!!

I might buy it today actually, its still quite a lot for a single player game but mafia games down the years have never disappointed I suppose
