  1. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9-XGk_7b2w I live less than 50 miles from NYC, and remember my kids crying and asking me if the Ragheads were going to blow up their school. Obama should have pulled Bin Laden's head out of a bowling ball bag during his speech, and impaled it on a stake on ground zero.I am not really worried if I offended anyone with this statement, fell free to ban me.Peg.
  2. here is a funny vid of what a dull knife can do...
  3. that looks pretty cool, I will have to try it. I use a RAZOR EDGE sharpener on my knives, and they shave hair off my arm . Not much need for cutting paper though, you really need a good edge to cut a deer's asshole away from it's pelvis though. Would have been funny to see that guy do that. I will show you next deer season if you want.
  4. http://www.nascar.com/news/110428/tbayne-medical-tests-hospitalized-richmond/index.html This young man won the Daytona 500 this season, hope he gets over this. They are not sure if it was a spider or a tick bite.
  5. Sorry for your loss Shamu, my family's prayers are with you.
  6. The Eastern Pannis is the most dangerous.
  7. I have bought a couple of Logitech mouses (mice?) that came with usb to ps2 adapters, it may be worth a try, if you or any of your friends may have one, did you see if your bios supports usb keyboard in set up? it may be set to default ps2, and you could try to change that.
  8. http://www.termite.com/images/USASpiderChart.gif This vacuum has also been tested by me on bats and is safer than chemicals, it gets the spider, the web and the eggs. Kill em' All!
  9. I got bit by a big horse fly on the lower thigh at one of my kid's soccer games about 10 years ago. I didn't think much of it, I usually get a pretty nasty reaction, but Benadryl usualy does the trick if you take it the same day. It didn't work so good on this bite, and a week later my leg (the only one I have) was red, yellow and purple. The nurse at the emergency room I went to, after much berating from my wife about how much of an asshole I was to wait so long, saw my leg and said "holy shit, how long has it looked like that?!", I think my wife may have called in advance.... the Doc had a similar reaction, although more professional. He said I had Sepsis aka blood poisoning, but we didn't have time for tests unless I wanted two wooden legs, and started me on IV anti-biotics and IV antihistamine. Three hours later the rash and swelling were gone. The affected area near the bite was almost hot enough to cook an egg on. Everyone has different reactions to this shit, so be careful. I shop vac my garage and work shop of every frigging spider and insect I see, fuck them all. We also have the copperheads coming out of hibernation, and they really deserve respect, as the are kinda ornery when they wake.
  10. path: control panel>users>user access control, I think it is on the left side of screen
  11. I took this shot at Pocono last year. I think Kevin and Joey were about to discuss something....
  12. Sure woulda liked to seen Nemechek win under green today, NOT Pee Wee Bush. I'm picking Kenseth tomorrow, we will see! How about that Mike Wallace?!
  13. What you removed is called the heat riser and heat riser tube. If you live in a warm climate, it won't hurt to eliminate it. On the other hand, if you live in a cold climate it really helps on cold start up. It directs warm air from the exaust manifold into the carb, preventing ice-up of the throttle plates during warm up. There is usually a vacuum motor in the snorkle that the flexible tube connects to. This is controlled by a heat activated vacuum switch that lets cold air back into the air cleaner when the engine is warmed up. I used to run a custom air cleaner in warm weather on my carbed engines, and put the stock one back on in winter. The pcv valve sounds like someone may have put a universal one on, thus having two different vacuum hose sizes, no problem, as long as you have no leaks. Hope this helps. I f you remove the stock air cleaner housing, make sure you plug the vacuum line that goes from the carb to the bottom of the housing.
  14. Dios mio, UnChileno!!! You are making me wish I was Back on vacation in Republica Dominica. You get my vote for best hijack of topic!!
  15. Clue – listen for the fuel pump to prime when you first turn the ignition switch on. It should run for 5-20 seconds and shut off. To trick the fuel pump into running, find the ECC test connector and jump the connector in the lower RH corner to ground. See http://www.mustangworks.com/articles...-iv_codes.html for a description of the test connector. If the relay & inertia switch are OK, you will have power to the pump. Check fuel pressure – remove the cap from the schrader valve behind the alternator and depress the core. Fuel should squirt out, catch it in a rag. A tire pressure gauge can also be used if you have one - look for 37-40 PSI. Beware of fire hazard when you do this. No fuel pressure, possible failed items in order of their probability: A.) Tripped inertia switch – press reset button on the inertia switch. The hatch cars hide it under the plastic trim covering the driver's side taillight. Use the voltmeter or test light to make sure you have power to both sides of the switch B.) Fuel pump power relay – located under the driver’s seat in most stangs built before 92. On 92 and later model cars it is located below the Mass Air Flow meter. C.) Clogged fuel filter D.) Failed fuel pump E.) Blown fuse link in wiring harness. Use a voltmeter to measure the voltage drop across them. There should be less than .75 volt drop across a fuse link. F.) Fuel pressure regulator failed. Remove vacuum line from regulator and inspect for fuel escaping while pump is running. The electrical circuit for the fuel pump has two paths, a control path and a power path. The control path consists of the inertia switch, the computer, and the fuel pump relay coil. It turns the fuel pump relay on or off under computer control. The switched power (red wire) from the ECC relay goes to the inertia switch (red/black wire) then from the inertia switch to the relay coil and then from the relay coil to the computer (tan/ Lt green wire). The computer provides the ground path to complete the circuit. This ground causes the relay coil to energize and close the contacts for the power path. Keep in mind that you can have voltage to all the right places, but the computer must provide a ground. If there is no ground, the relay will not close the power contacts. The power path picks up from a fuse link near the starter relay. Fuse links are like fuses, except they are pieces of wire and are made right into the wiring harness. The feed wire from the fuse link (orange/ light blue wire) goes to the fuel pump relay contacts. When the contacts close because the relay energizes, the power flows through the contacts to the fuel pump (light pink/black wire). The fuel pump has a black wire that supplies the ground to complete the circuit. Remember that the computer does not source power for any actuator or relay, but provides the ground necessary to complete the circuit. That means one side of the circuit will always be hot, and the other side will go to ground or below 1 volt as the computer switches on that circuit. this article is from stangnet.com
  16. Did you check for codes before you started? Do you have a mouse problem where you park? Look to see if any insulation is missing off the hood, or any mouse nests on the intake manifold, this is a sure sign those little bastards are under your hood, and they eat the insulation off of wires especially in winter. Here is a link for doing EECIV self tests if you don't have a scanner. http://fordfuelinjection.com/?p=13
  17. Hi all, I am a 53 year year old from New Jersey (sorry, not my fault) and was in a couple of MoHAA clans until people, including myself got bored of the maps, and kinda drifted away from gaming. I like WWII weapons, and this is the most economical way I have found to shoot the ones I am not allowed to own in the People's Republic of New Jersey. XI is the first CoDWaW I tried after going through single player, And you folks remind me of the good old days I used to have drinking beers, getting my ass whooped, and laughing when gaming in Medal of Honor. I have been in the automotive, machining, welding and heavy equipment trades since '75, so that is why I like the Auto forum. I started building my own computers when my son was given an I-MAC for his birthday in '98, and he and my wife were going to kill each other over some Pokemon card printing shit. I work at a landfill, and had access to thrown out comps, so if I made mistakes and clouds of smoke it didn't matter. I think you folks have a top drawer outfit, and when I get better at this game I would be honored if you asked me to join some day. And yea, I lost a leg, '73 Superglide vs '71 Sedan DeVille. The Caddy won. Thanks for listening.Peg.(I built this in '78, sold it for a Harley, shoulda kept it)
  18. I find it soothing and frustrating at the same time....wasn't 28 Kenny Irwin's number?
  19. the paper clip jumper and digital volt meter method works well too, I will try to find the pin-out chart online, as I only have a printed version of the early ATX. I found an Ocz 700 watt psu at work, and did the jumper test with two hdd's, thought it was ok, put it in my comp, and one of the 5 volt outputs was no good. I could have found that out with the dvm BEFORE I bothered to install, live and learn! p.s. the old analog test gear still works too!
  20. Maybe steve set it up that way. he is worried about used bandwidth. maybe he doesn't want to have to pay his provider extra, and little things like inactive links could help him. just a thought
  21. Thanks LABOB, do we need to do this on a regular basis? I left 'keep temporary files on my computer' checked, that is why I am asking if this is going to be a regular preventive cleaning that I need to remember
  22. I have used these tests, before condemning the PSU. http://www.pcpower.com/support/ATX_troubleshoot.htm
  23. I tried it last night, and the copy/paste worked, but it didn't paste as link. I just got it to work, if by total accident! after pasting with ctrl v, I hit the space bar by some dumb luck! http://www.pcpower.com/support/ATX_troubleshoot.htm see? I did it twice and it is working for now,lol just tried it on the manuals, no luck.
