Beautiful action shot!  I actually came across one during a photo shoot with a client.  He was along side the road with his prey, I got down on my belly and crawled to him till I was about 5 ft away!!!  He let me snap some shots and then he took his prey elsewhere for some privacy.

hxtr, trig is a branch of mathematics that studies relationships involving lengths and angles of triangles.  Damage, I picked it up in Tech school.  I originally applied for auto body, I spent a lot of time in the garage tinkering and fixing the cars.  But the class filled up before I got to choose.  So the next best thing was machining.  I learned machining 101 in school.  How to read the tools, how to operate the manual machines, tooling, metals, feeds, speeds, etc.  After school I broke away from it and worked in a housing plant sanding drywall.  After a couple years of that and having kids, it was time to set myself up with a job I enjoyed.  I no longer wanted to hate my job.  I went to a job fair and stumbled upon this company and was basically hired on the spot as 3rd shift supervisor with no CNC experience.  I learned everything i know now by manuals and on the job experience.  I've been machining for a little over 6 years now and absolutely love what I do!!

For a living, I am a CNC Machinist.  Third shift supervisor/ programmer.   For the most part, I make parts for wire rope or suspension type parts for wire rope bridges.   I write the code by hand using trigonometry and other math methods to figure out all my dimensions.     Once in a great while I get some free time and can play around making stuff of my own.  Here was a little project I whipped up for a buddy to help modify his mirror mounts for his motorcycle.  WARNING**  The volume is loud and the material is stainless steel which likes to screech.

My son, who is 13 and in grade 8, had his public speaking assignment the other day. My wife made him say his speech to her first, she called me at work and said I have to hear it as soon as I got home. I got home and listened and got shivers and near a tear in my eye, This is straight from his head. Damn kid is only 13. I am amazed (I am sure more so because he is my son) by his choice of words and thoughts. When I was 13 I was thinking about the girl I was gonna try to kiss or how many hits I was going to get in the baseball game next weekend, or how the fuck can ANYONE beat BattleToads on NES.... its fucking impossible!! On one hand I am so proud, on another I am saddened that THESE are thoughts of a 13 year old.
Here is a copy of his speech with his permission

I have a dream that my future children can live in a world not fueled by hate, agony and machines of war but by happiness and the love of others. I dream of machines not made to harm and kill people but to help them. That our children will not be covered by the over looming shadow of eventual war and conflict but be bathed in the warm sunlight of peace. I dream that our children will not be recruited and used for acts of terror or harm like the tens of thousands of other little girls and boys around the world. All Children should  be free of the shackles and chains of war and build a better more peaceful world.  I dream that no person should ever wake up questioning when the storm of bombs and bullets are going to start or if it is their last day living in this hell on earth called the battlefield.

I have a dream that hard working honest and loving men and women's money will not be used to fund the world's budget of war of over 1.7 trillion dollars a year but instead used to build homes and open up job opportunities to other hard working honest men and women.I dream that those hard working honest men and women don't have to fight in wars over resources and land fought by greedy tycoons and businessmen.I dream that wars cannot be started from one man's ambitions but be started to stop the ambitions of those men and nations. I dream one day we won't need to use the liquid gold called oil and stop the conflicts that come with such valuable resources.I dream that men and women wont have to be called to war by their so called duty to their glorious nation but instead solve conflicts and problems in a more civilized orderly manner.I dream of a world where i can one day see world leaders being able to talk to each other and respect the dignity of not just their own people but all people.

I Have a dream that the great oceans don't have to be filled with huge destroyers and battleships and not blanketed by missile shells sunken ships and mines that harm local wildlife. I dream that huge areas of forests and large open lands don't have to be demolished by horrific battles and atrocities.I dream that there can be a world where we can live in peace knowing we can't be destroyed forever by a  push of one single button. I dream that wars cannot be started by hate for certain groups, races, sex or religion. I dream that no person has to ever be one of the over 200 thousand people to die each year from war. I dream that there doesn't have to be mass graveyards that seem to have no end filled with fallen soldiers. I have a dream that these dreams don't have to be just unreachable goals of unfathomable proportions, but reality. And It can become reality if every Great leader and every distraught leader, every poor man and every rich man, every man and every woman, every race and every religion,Every Celebrity and every average dude,Every maker and every destroyer,Every lover and every hater And if every single human being comes to together and puts away their petty differences to the side my dreams will become reality.

Ha Ha, Shadow made a great job of it, I've seen lots of bikes over there without front fenders I thought it was legal, obviously not, no problem if you don't ride in the rain, I must admit it does look a good riding position on the photo above your arms are almost straight. So you agree with me about why anyone wants an expensive HD when theres cheaper more reliable bikes available, but I'm amazed I expected a flood of replies defending HD, I'm under the suspicion they only get brought out for Sturgis and they ride Suzukis the rest of the year. Harley riders in the UK (where they are MEGA expensive) are totally committed to the brand and nothing will deflect them, even 10 trips on the back of a pick up truck. Of all the bikes I've owned over the years I have to say that BMW have surprisingly let me down the most, which was not what I expected but maybe I was unlucky with the two I've owned. You keep on riding that lovely machine and enjoy the freedom it gives you.

Hey now, I don't take too kindly to people making fun of my ricer!!    I actually find the apes very comfortable and they're only 14".  The angle of the shots make them look bigger.  I'd much rather have my HD copy than pay for the HD name.  One, I paid about 5K less and two, she beats every HD I've lined up with so far .   Plus who wants to chop up a HD, I didn't feel so bad doing it to the Honda.  And she definitely turns heads. It is a shame for Victory, but I'm with you. Not a fan of their styles.  There are also many things frowned upon with my bike.  The FU tail light, no baffles, and no front fender.   I've been pulled over already, but I guess my pretty smile has gotten me out of tickets....

So as I mentioned in my introduction post, Shadow and I like to ride motorcycles in our spare time.  He rides an '03 Fat Boy and I ride a bobbed '94 Honda Shadow 1100.  Any one else ride or what's you hobbies?  Other than gaming   Photography is also another one of my passions, but it has now become a full time job.  Can't really count it as a "hobby" anymore...

Hey all, I also am into photography!  I got my first DSLR in 2014.  It started out as a hobby, but has bloomed into pretty much a full time business!!  I have a webpage plus multiple other sites my images are on and judged.   I use a Canon 7D with a variety of different lenses.  Some of my favorite times behind the lens is when i'm out on the bike.  Here's just a few to get you started   Shadow and I are the couple to the far left in both group shots.

I wanted to mention too for all of the photographers here. Years ago I saw a interview with the curator of photography at the Smithsonian. She had brought up a point that has really stuck with me. She showed this picture of a young black child crying outside. A really nice photograph. She brought up the point that if it had been taken on a digital camera that the photographer probably would have erased it at the time thinking that it wasn't a good photo. Thus losing a part of that persons life and history through photography. After seeing that I never delete anything I shoot unless it is really bad as in completely out of focus are way out of the exposure range. I have found what she said to be true. Pictures I have shot thinking they sucked at the time look so much better and interesting at a later date. By that ends she pointed out that we are losing the real photographs that truly depict our lives and history.
