  1. Russian sons returning home to their mothers in body bags isn't helping him either...
  2. Yeah, any time you observe any hungry animal hunting, you can easily see it is definitely paying attention
  3. Messy, quickly gone...& you wish you had more. Late-night, just before eating is when I find information retention is best...related to the basic mechanism of hunger on brain centers such as the hippocampus. Sleepy also helps...so both, combined. https://medicine.yale.edu/news-article/this-is-your-brain-on-an-empty-stomach/ https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2063745/#:~:text=Gut hormone ghrelin (bottom) increases,(arrowheads) and improves memory.&text=The growling stomach produces the,a center for forming memories. https://www.nytimes.com/2006/12/10/magazine/10section1C.t-1.html 'Beyond increasing appetite, ghrelin is also known to be associated with regulating metabolism, modulating inflammation, increasing cardiac effectiveness, and increasing the growth hormone, insulin-like growth factor 1. It therefore principally works as an energy consolidation hormone...' 'Remarkably, it has been observed by researchers that the ghrelin receptors are functioning in tandem with the dopamine receptors to allow for proper functioning of the hippocampus in memory consolidation, as well as synaptic reorganization and synaptic plasticity....refers to the brain’s ability to remain cognitively adaptive to new and different mental challenges. It does this by growing neurons and expanding neuronal connections.' If you wanna learn: Do it when you're HUNGRY. There's quite a bit of information that points to diet's role in inflammation, Alzheimer's, cognitive maintenance/optimization, cardiac health, overlapping metabolic-attenuated coordination of these effects on the systems individually & as a whole. Food for thought...& so much more. So, a way to a man's heart is, literally, through his stomach.
  4. @Ruggerxi Could you be so kind as to remove above-inflammatory-attention-whore shit-stirrer's ad-hominen dumpster fire bullshit posts from what has been a civil big-boy discussion of the current events?
  5. Sure, Check out Daytona Beach during Spring Break or Biker Week: When masses of college students or bikers gather to party.
  6. Napoleon Bonaparte was known to rope-a-dope some of his battlefield opponents; show a portion of his troops on a crest or plateau, to the enemy; have them retreat back down a hill; when the other side pursued, they found the rest of the army waiting on the other side. Natives living in the jungles in some areas of our world have been documented using this tactic against their enemies....
  7. Except that the 'known quantity' might be replaced by something worse... Who else is going to hold all the disparate bad actors in line in that whole region? Like the saying goes: Measure twice, cut once.
  8. Started watching just before she made the scene, visiting with friends or something. You could tell she liked him, but didn't know what would come of it, since she left for a time.
  9. Exactly; taking the Donbass & the rest of that Eastern area will effectively annex Ukraine's manufacturing/defense industry; also giving him more natural resources & supporting infrastructure. Putin has basically stated he wants his own Monroe Doctrine; no missiles on his doorstep. In what ways is it different from Kennedy's assertion of The Monroe Doctrine vis a vis Cuba in his request for Ukraine to not join NATO & military infrastructure be placed on his western border? I recognize Ukraine's right to sovereignty & self-agency. I ask these questions in that while the U.S. asserts authority over the entire Western Hemisphere; how much elbow room should Russia be afforded? The last instance I remember of assertion was Reagan deposing Noriega because he was a drug dealer. The main difference being that Putin is an absolute dictator with no qualms killing his own people to maintain control; ie journalists, political opposition. That notwithstanding, should there be a recognized military-free zone afforded him/Russia? Or is that he is a bad man justification for carte blanche actions in the region? And how much nicer would life be for Russia if they played nice like the rest of Europe?
  10. Maybe ima watching Mr. Beefcake. Seriosly though, been watching the channel before Mrs. Hotness was a permanent member of the channel.
  11. I don't think the Ukraninian people will stand for allowing the eastern provinces to become independent. Additionally, there is then the consideration of Transnistria on the western border of Ukraine, located in Eastern Moldova....it's officially part of Moldova, but in name only....the people all along that border are autonomous, having their own government, currency & warriors...most of it's inhabitants define as Russian, & there's at least a couple thousand Russian troops in that area. It's something to keep an eye on; especially considering it's geographical location vis a vis this conflict. & it'd be even more of a buffer, with Russian loyalists...it's already a Russian-friendly staging ground, & a not-unlikely spot for attacking Ukraine from its Western flank.
  12. chicken thighs!!! OMfg. Batch frying some chicken thighs marinated overnight in buttermilk, then plunged into a nice Paulaner beer batter...it's dark meat, so I cook until an internal of 175 or so, to allow the collagen to melt. If you cook it to only 160 or so like white meat, it's gonna still be rubbery; Ridiculously tasty & moist!! Went ahead & did 10 lbs... Chicken like this is good for 3 months...& we KNOW it's not lasting anywhere near that l0ng!
  13. It's the Ukrainian National Bank's site, it's legit & easily verifiable many ways, not the least is contacting any of the world's major banks listed at the bottom of the donation page against the routing number...come off $10 or $20.

  15. Floyd's 'Barn Jams', recorded in converted barns on Gilmour's property are a nice discovery; filmed while the personable Mr. Wright still graced our presence. Gilmour's riffing on the steel guitar with Richard expertly supporting is a treat. As an aside: Gilmour even has a recording studio on his private boat.
  16. Thx, mang...added to my library
  17. It's a fun channel set in gorgeous scenery....always taking you on a fun adventure. I'm sure he makes enough off the channel to fund doing this full time. Has lifted my mood on many a dreary cold Winter's day. Can get lost in the episode, forgetting for a time where I am. He produces the videos to bring you along.
  18. So, how much for 1?
  19. That shit is so hit nothing could live in it and it has a shelf live of 100 years.
  20. Oui, mon bon ami; depui trente ans. Regardez mon nouveau jouet! =D J'aime m'occuper de mes amis. =)
  21. It's part of a wider strategy: Get the Ukrainian government to agree to the Minsk protocol-recognizing the pro-russian puppet governments & 'autonomy' of Donbass from Ukraine-which will lead to mass protests by the Ukrainian people; then initiate a false flag attack on the seat of government in Kyiv by russian forces; then send in regular forces to 'save' & occupy the Capitol. He's tried this twice already in the past 20 years or so. Then partition the country....he's hoping 3rd time's a charm.
  22. Invading a country & occupying it are two different things; Putin's popularity will quickly plummet as guerilla warfare will start sending Russian sons home to their mothers. And all Russia is nowadays is basically a gas station; if he can't sell it, the economy further plummets. 2/3 of its exports are petroleum related. Most he seems to be aiming for is a door-in-the-face ploy; where he threatens the capitol & then offers to withdraw to the Donbas....or so it would seem.
  23. Yeah, we still have the northern shale fields; more expensive, but still there if we need it.
