The nurse who did my shot either didn't disinfect or did the whole procedure in one move because the next think I knew I had the need going full force into my arm. I've never know anything like it to be honest. I've had flu shots and vitamin B12 shots at my GP surgery and the nurses there are always very gentle but for this I had to go to one of the vaccine centres out of town and I guess the nurse I got just wanted to stab people and then go home.

I had the Oxford AstraZeneca a couple weeks back. Had general grogginess/chills the following day but my arm hurt/was swollen for about a week. I also had what we think was a very mild allergic reaction as a slight rash developed a few days later, but faded after like 2 days. I'm not inclined to put the arm pain or swelling entirely down to the jab itself and I think the delivery played a part. Nurse quite literally slammed it into my arm like holy fuck. It was like she was actually trying to stab me.
