Well as some of you know I've had problems with my knee for the past 2 years. In fact 2 years to today is when I blew my knee out. Four operations later and my doctor says that he can't fix my knee with surgery. To make matters worse workers comp will not allow me to seek another opinion on the matter. They have scheduled a functional evaluation of my knee to asses disability rating. I can't walk without a crutch and my knee is so unstable is just gives out at random times. My rehab people suggest that I will get a full disabled rating. I would rather have a knee replacement and avoid the other shit if possible. It seems that workers comp has manipulated the doctor in their favor in my opinion. I do have a lawyer on my case but if there is any advice anyone can give me it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks , Twinkie

I would spend the money on water cooling block for cpu and gpu. then you can overclock the gpu also. you will never see double performance with another card. If 2 cards is still what you want may I suggest one of the factory nvidia cards that are 2 cards in one. They usually are more stable because they were made that way. Take a look at the nvidia GTX 690 for 1,000.00 bucks. Its 2 gpus on one board and 2 gig ram or the xfx 7970 for 500.00 with 3 gig ram

if it is just a surface scuff try wet sanding with the highest grit sandpaper you can find. I did this to my 04 SVT Focus. It was silver and someone hit the bumper and it had black paint from the other car and some areas were scratched to the primer on my car. I used the wet sand method to remove the black paint and smooth out the scratches then applied factory touch up paint wet sanded again then applied 4 coats of clear to bring shine back. Just pick a small spot and take your time don't use too much pressure and keep it even.

Well for those of you who know me and the problems i've had with my knee operations as of late here is and update. My last knee operation didn't work. My knee has become unstable again. As much so if not more than before. This has gone on for too long. Don't know what else to do. Feel so drained. Tired of fighting, tired of hurting, tired.

Racing Not Only Dangerous To Drivers...but Fans Too! Omg
Twinkie 13 replied to CobraBites's topic in General Discussion
Love how just like the gun issue certain people in the media go strait into how can we stop these cars crashing and throwing debris into the stands. These dumb asses think that everything can be fixed so we can live in a fairy tale world where no one ever gets hurt. The fact is that sometimes scary crashes happen in Nascar and shit happens. The catch fence did what it was supposed to do. You can't prepare for every possible outcome for all tragic experiences. I'm sure the people in the stands will sue the owners of the track and Nascar and Tiny Tim and God and everybody else they can put into the lawsuit. That will just make the ticket prices higher so less and less people can enjoy racing at the track. I do believe the lase time I went to a Nascar race the ticket had a disclaimer clause on it stating watch at your own risk. Sorry to be on my soapbox and don't get me wrong, I hope all the people recover soon and have no lasting effects from the crash. I just cant stand the media every time something happens they go into a frenzy about how to stop all bad things from happening. -

Is it just me or is the Teamspeak server down now? Please send me a message here if it is up so I can trouble shoot on my end. Thanks Twinkie

Well If you can bring over any parts from the old pc that would help on budget. Post your old pc specs so we can see if any will work with the new pc. Do you have win7 os or are you going win8? SSDs are nice and fast for use as OS boot drive but can really eat into budget. If you don't mind waiting a few seconds for your pc to boot then skip the ssd and put more money into video card. We need to know Intel or AMD. I have an AMD 8 core 8210 overclocked to 4ghz. I know lots of people really hate AMD and their speed is slower than most Intel chips but they are cheaper also. That being said my cpu works just fine for me and I believe if AMD fails and goes out of business that will hurt all of us in the long run. If that happens Intel will have no competition and that will slow down advancements in technology and increase in prices. Motherboards are a messy group. Most people get a motherboard that has lots of extra stuff and options that they will never use on them. Really take a look at what you plan to attach to your computer and what other uses you might have like video encoding and such and pick a mobo that fills your needs. Some motherboards can cost over 200.00 and you never fully use them. I have a gigabyte 970a-ud3 for 65.00 and it covers all my needs.

best of luck to you man. I know a little of what you are going through. I had 5 operations in less than 2 years on my left knee. My latest one was january 15th.

driver failure. reboot into safe mode and try to restore from a previous restore point from a week or so back when all was fine.
-
Try the in game sound settings to see if those are messed up.
-
First go to the motherboard website and download the latest driver for the audio device you have. Then open the control panel and go to the hardware and sound settings and make sure the settings are right for your speaker setup. Also double check your output connections from the output jacks to the speakers.

I would hope that you feel this way regardless of sex. POW situations are an unfortunate fact in the wars we are involved in, and especially with the kinds of enemies we face. Anyone interested in joining the military should be cognizant of the inherent risks taken overseas, especially in parts of the world where Americans (or more specifically NATO forces) are seen in such negative ways. Being a POW is a horrible thought and I would wish it on no one. I was implying that my personal feelings on what might be done to a female pow might impair my judgement and get myself or others killed in the process. Again I am not in the military and don't pretend to know what those of you that are go through. I am so thankful for all the men and women that do their jobs whatever that may be and put their lives on the line so I can have freedom.
-
I'm not in the military so please don't be too harsh on me but In my opinion as long as the person next to me has the ability to drag my wounded ass out of trouble then no problem. I would have a problem with someone next to me that could not do this. Regardless of sex. On the other hand as a man would you not want to be more aggressive in a situation where a female soldier was taken prisoner and the possibility of some really negative things that could be done to them as torture. I know that is a extreme example but one that is sure to come up at times. I would just feel so terrible if a female soldier friend had to endure such cruelty and I couldn't prevent it.

So sorry for your loss man. Prayers sent out to you.

Now days i think the minimum power supply wattage should be 750 watts. Just my opinion but that makes sure that you are not stressing the power supply and getting good stable and clean power to all components

Hey man go to this site http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html and look around at the number before you make a decision. I would say spend as much as you can afford on your new video card because that part is the biggest bottleneck in games today. Most cpus are good enough to feed any gpu these days. Just don't go for a card that is over 400.00 for just a few frame rates. Pick your happy medium on price and performance. Also you need to take into consideration your screen size and resolution that you will use. I currently run these specs... AMD 8120 8core (I know the Intel fans will jump all over this but for the price and performance this is what I wanted so please don't hate) Coolermaster 430 case Coolermaster 212 evo Gigabyte 990x mobo (2) 2 tetrabyte hard drives. 1 main 1 backup 16 gig ram crucial ballistix pro 750 xfx powersupply still running old soundblaster fatality pro sound card xfx 6950 2 gig video card. dvd burner the radeon 6870 is a good card at under 200 the nvidia 660 is good for a card less than 300 the nvidia 660 TI for a little over 300 ( its overclocked) or if you just have money to burn the new asus gtx 690 fore 999.99 WOW
