  1. I still have my old data on my old computer that works fine.  I still have the original box and cd with key. Problem is that I don’t have optical drives on the new pc. So I bought and installed steam version.  I have copied all my mods/profile files over to the new pc but my name won’t show in the profile selection. Also when I type in the name it says name not available

  2. Well it’s still not showing up in the profile selection screen.  When I type the original name to create a new profile it says that name is not available.  Maybe it’s because the original files came from a cd copy install and now I’m using a steam copy.

  3. Thanks for the quick reply.  I forgot to mention my new pc had no optical drive so I bought the steam version of the game.  The original win 7 game files were from a cd install.

  4. So I've built my new computer and I need to move my profile in COD WAW from my old win7 rig to the new win10 one.  I thought just copying all the files in the cod5 directory would work but it did not.  Any body out there have another idea?

  5. It would seem to me that any changing/editing of files from the original form to gain and edge on a server is blatant cheating.  Unless all players on said server are using the same edited files I would consider it to be cheating.  A person came into the WAW servers and started clearing them out each time they came in.  Later that person listed all the config edits they used and still claimed it was not cheating.  Should there be a vote on allowing edited configs on some servers and not others?

  6. I don't know how many DIMMS of RAM you have in the MOBO.  You could try removing all but one and try to replicate the problem.  At least that could eliminate the RAM as an issue.  I had random bsod and crash/reboots and it turned out to be a faulty DIMM. If you think it might be a driver issue you could use system restore to put things back to a time before the problem occured.

  7. Im building a new PC soon and I am going with the AMD Ryzen 2700x or I might wait for the 3700x.  I can't decide on wight case and motherboard to buy.  I have already bought the Nvidia 2070 and a EVGA 850 Super Nova psu.  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
